These are the words spoken and vocalized by one Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Sen Reid was speaking about his conversation with a reporter about his conversation with Sen Joe Lieberman. Here is how it went: “He has a close personal relationship with John McCain. I don’t fully understand why he does,” said Reid, who said Lieberman called Tuesday from the Republic of Georgia to alert him to the move. “I told him last night, ‘You know, Joe, I can’t stand John McCain.’ He said, ‘I know you feel that way,’ ” Reid said. Amazing. As I listened to Vice-President...

Getting It Right by: Bethany Stotts, September 04, 2008 Given the historic nature of this year’s election, the issue of race has been repeatedly brought up in news coverage of the election, whether for Senator Joe Biden’s (D-Del.) controversial “clean” and “articulate” remarks, allegations of unfair attacks by the Hillary Clinton (D-NY) campaign, or John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) claim that the Barack Obama (D-Ill.) campaign was illegitimately using the “race card” during his campaign speeches. According to Keith Woods, the Dean of Faculty at the Poynter Institute, it is not necessarily a bad thing for reporters to cover racial issues, but...

Here in Wasilla, the small Alaskan town where until two years ago Sarah Palin was mayor, her speech officially to accept the Republican Party's Vice Presidential nomination was greeted with tears and disbelief. Crowded into Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill on Parks Highway, her friends and most ardent of supporters, many of them wearing 'Go Sarah!' T-shirts and badges that read 'The Hottest Governor of the Coldest State' watched the entire performance at full volume on flatscreen televisions, alternatively cheering, whooping, clapping, dabbing at their eyes, and, finally, giving her a standing ovation. Around them, hockey memorabilia hung from the...

One of the leading organizations working to overthrow Marxism and restore Liberty in America, FreeRepublic.com, announces a drive to register 1,000,000 new Republican voters to defeat Barack Hussein Obomber and Joe Imbiden. Heck, if Moveon.org can register 500,000 budding young socialist abortionists to support their Marxist messiah, I don't see why FreeRepublic.com shouldn't register at least twice as many young God-fearing, pro-life, Liberty-loving American patriots to defeat their godless leftist takeover attempt. Click here to register: http://www.gop.com/ActionCenter/RegisterToVote/RegistrationInformation.aspx

In my recent letter to you concerning the TTC, I misquoted some information about the company known as Cintra. Mr. Patrick Rhodes of Cintra wrote in response to my mistake. Therefore, I stand corrected with the following: Fellow citizens, the company, Cintra, is not affiliated with ZAI-ACS. Cintra is partnered with Zachry on some TxDOT projects and ACS is partnered with Zachry on some other TxDOT projects. Therefore, I hope this clarifies the over-zealous statements in my letter. Cintra is a Spanish-owned company, and ACS is a larger Spanish-owned company. Zachry, a Texas company, is affiliated with each of them...

Celebrate the life of the Lion of Camelot--the man who helped pass legislation to try to ensure Third World status for the U.S., who smeared eminent jurist Robert Bork in order to keep the Supreme Court on track to dismantle the Constitution, coinventor of the waitress sandwich, ladies man, and the Hero of Chappaquiddick-- who tried his utmost to deliver on his promise of "A blonde in every pond". Here's the soundtrack of his heroic saga- 5 seperate acts, each recounting his inspiring life story--captured on 5 CDs in an exclusive boxed set: CD # 1 "Party All the Time"...

In 1972 Sen. Joseph Biden, the Democrat nominee for vice President, lost his wife and young daughter in a car accident. Losing your family in a auto accident is a gut wrenching tragedy, to be sure. No one underestimates that and no ever blamed Mrs. Biden for the accident. Right up there with despicable things one human can do to another, is falsely accusing the innocent of a crime. “Bearing false witness” is even in the 10 commandments, but Mr. Biden’s feigned Catholicism doesn’t let that stop him. Last night CBS Inside Addition reports, “In a striking moment in December...

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell was supposed to give “closing remarks” during this afternoon’s Shorenstein Center-sponsored panel discussion with all three Sunday show moderators — NBC’s Tom Brokaw, ABC’s George Stephanopoulous and CBS’s Bob Schieffer — but instead, he opened up a can of worms about bias in 2008 election coverage

Here’s what Barack Obama told Time’s Karen Tumulty and David Von Drehle earlier this week, when asked what we would learn about him from his vice presidential pick:

Lately I have heard from some of you, asking about the Corridor. Most folks believe it is over, dead, gone from our beautiful East Texas. I have been watching our government's actions on this subject. Did you know that in TxDOT's cover letter to the federal government it states they will only use existing highways to build their corridor? Did you know that TxDOT also stated that it may need to build in non-existing paths also, some time in the future. Citizens, I write you today to make sure you understand that the corridor issue in Trinity County has not...

One of CLNE’s underwriters is WR Hambrecht and Co., owned by William Hambrecht, a leftwing activist who has given, on average, around $80,000 per year to liberal candidates and causes. It is probable that such a heavyweight in the leftist movement is also well known to Nancy Pelosi and to Harry Reid, who will be partnering with the Center for American Progress Action Fund and UNLV to host the National Clean Energy Summit on Aug. 19 with such notables as President Clinton, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Gov. Janet Napolitano of Arizona, Gov. Bill Ritter of Colorado, and Texas entrepreneur...

Nancy Pelosi says that she is trying to save the planet and prevent global warming, but the reality is that, according to disclosure statements, in May 2007 she invested in T. Boone Picken’s clean energy fuels corp., CLNE, which is the sole sponsor of a proposal in California to funnel $5 billion in state funds and $5 billion in Federal funs to this corporation which will indirectly help them create a giant wind farm in the Texas panhandle. An overlooked story in November of 2007 shows that the T. Boone Pickens plan involves the private control of water, which Pickens...

ohn Kerry attacked the GOP along with the McCain Campaign for the ‘character assassination of Barack Obama.’ Kerry claims he is talking from experience, apparently relating to the Swiftboat allegations , which were never proven untrue. Bad analogy, John.

A promise broken in the two years since his historic visit to his father’s ancestral village in 2006 still hasn’t been realized. Another photo-op and more stagecraft with no pledges kept to help fund the school honored with his name. Now Obama’s promise is being realized with a non-profit charity, Save Senator Obama Kogelo School, Inc. The Charity is the idea of the Baldilocks blogger Kenyan-American milblogger Juliette Ochieng
