The Romney campaign released these excerpts of Ann Romney's speech, which she'll deliver tonight at the Republican convention in Tampa: “Tonight I want to talk to you from my heart about our hearts. “I want to talk not about what divides us, but what holds us together as an American family. I want to talk to you tonight about that one great thing that unites us, that one thing that brings us our greatest joy when times are good, and the deepest solace in our dark hours. “Tonight I want to talk to you about love. … “Mitt's dad never...

I don't have regular TV service--cable or satellite or even broadcast. I get most of my TV over the internet. Where can I find some video of the convention that won't make me gag over liberal B.S. insertions? Downloads or streaming or whatever is OK, just looking for a source. Longer, direct video of the convention itself is what I'm looking for, not commentary and other derivative stuff. Thanks.

Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has to do two things really well at his convention: Lay out in dramatic terms how bad the Obama economy is and demonstrate that he is the candidate who can fix it. After Monday’s front-page Washington Post/ABC News poll showing more than 80 percent of Americans now say the economy is poor, and 70 percent who say our country is seriously off-track, Mr. Romney’s convention has to pound that failed economy message into the minds of TV viewers and nail it to the door of President Obama’s Oval Office. This will be the clarion call...

Have any of you been switching back and forth between FOX and MSNBC tonight? Between Chrissy,Al Sharpton,Sargaent Schultz and the rest, it has all been one sided. For example, after Bob McDonnell spoke, the commentators began bashing the Governor on his views on womans health issues. At least there hasn't been a 7 second delay in case any of the speakers insulted Obama!

CNN's John Berman, reporting live from the floor of the GOP convention, asked a Louisiana delegate if it wasn't "inappropriate" for the Republican Party to continue the convention on Tuesday night with Hurricane Isaac set to make landfall in Louisiana. "There's been a lot of talk about whether it's appropriate at all for Republicans to be having this convention tonight, these festivities. Do you feel like there's any issue there?" he asked.

@ClayAiken Playing drinking game with my brother now. We drink every time we see a black person on screen at the RNC convention. #soberasamormon

She has been known to display a great deal of ignorance, in particular during the Republican National Convention of 2012, using such points that the Republicans were able to "balance" a budget, when in reality the public knows that as a farce, they simply cut out any sort of benefits for the common person and put in benefits for the super rich, since the super rich is a far smaller amount than the common person. She is also a whore, and hopefully the editor who reverts this hates her as much as I now do.

The buzz is that Ann Romney's speech was off the charts and that Chris Christie's speech was moderately good but didn't have the red meat people wanted. I tend to disagree. Christie's speech was fantastic but in a much more subtle way. He showed the stark differences. Thoughts?

Tampa, Fla. -- Tuesday night was Good Cop/Bad Cop night at the Republican National Convention. Ann Romney played the good cop, the keynote speaker, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, played the bad cop. Where Mitt Romney comes across as remote, his wife exudes accessibility. Democrats have devised a talking point about the Republicans' so-called "war on women." You don't look at Ann Romney and see misogyny. You see a warm wife and mother, as happy with husband's many attentions as a cat napping in the sun. Democrats want to talk war. Fine. Ann Romney opened her Tuesday night speech in...

Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, spoke to the Republican National Convention about the former Massachusetts governor not as a politician, but as a husband and father. She told the crowd and a prime-time audience about their 43-year marriage, one of real struggles and experiences, including her battles with multiple sclerosis and breast cancer, and nothing of the storybook tale that people imagine. Ann Romney also talked about his role as a father to five sons, and grandfather to 18 grand-kids The GOP hoped her speech would help undecided and other voters (especially women) better relate to...

VIDEO: Former Democrat and U.S. Rep. Artur Davis of Alabama addresses the Republican National Convention. Artur Davis was an enthusiastic supporter of Obama's 2008 bid for the presidency. In fact, Davis was one of the national co-chairs for Obama's 2008 campaign. In this speech, Davis encourages the nation to listen to the speakers at the Democrat Party Convention and ask yourself if they're speaking for you.

VIDEO: Republican candidate for U.S. Congress (UT-04) Mia Love passionately addresses the Republican National Convention on the American dream: "The America I grew up knowing was centered in self-reliance and filled with possibilities of living the American dream."

A funny thing happened on race-obsessed MSNBC tonight. The liberal network failed to give viewers coverage of the speakers who happen to be member of racial minorities. As Francesca Chambers, Editor of Red Alert Politics, reported on August 28th: "When popular Tea Party candidate Ted Cruz, the GOP nominee for Senate, took the stage, MSNBC cut away from the Republican National Convention and the Hispanic Republican from Texas’ speech." "MSNBC stayed on commercial through former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis’ speech, as well. Davis, who recently became a Republican, is black. Then, when Puerto Rican Governor Luis Fortuno’s wife Luce’ Vela...

Who is Mitt Romney? If Americans didn’t know who he was before, they know now. Tuesday night at the RNC convention in Tampa, Mrs. Ann Romney destroyed the stereotype of an out-of-touch Romney family. She entered the Tampa Bay Times forum to a roaring and standing crowd with many chanting, “We love you Ann!” Romney spoke directly to a struggling America. She told them personal stories about her struggles with breast cancer, living with MS and raising five children. She spoke of the love her husband has given her through more than 40 years of marriage. “I want to talk...

An article titledUtah Mayor Looking to Become First Black GOP Congresswoman Gives Impassioned Breakout Speech at RNC is where the video of The Honorable Mia Love's Speech at the GOP Convention can be viewed and heard. Here is the speech I heard and transcribed. Praise, in support for Mitt Romney. Let me tell you about the America I know. My parents immigrated to this country with ten dollars in their pocket, and the hope … that the America that they had heard about … really did exist. When tough times came, they didn’t look to Washington, they looked within....

That’s it. You can shut down the convention right now. It’s over. Romney’s camp just shut down all dissent, and they rigged it that way. Twitter is awash in angry tweets from people who know this was a sham. John Boehner actually wielded the gavel without a hint of a tear as he said “the ayes have it.” They didn’t have it, and I think it was pretty clear that even if they did, this was a set-up. I have news for the GOP establishment. I am voting in November. I will vote for all the down-ballot candidates who are...

I stayed up a little past my normal bedtime last night, with one purpose in mind. I wanted to watch Ann Romney as she took the stage at the Republican National Convention and talked about her husband, Mitt Romney. For months, we have heard the media and some of the liberal Democrats bash her for various things. Some days, it was that she was a stay-at-home mom. Oddly, they also found a reason to dislike her because she owns, and rides, horses. During the Olympics, they harped about the clothes she was wearing and how much they cost. Last night,...

Full Title: RNC Attendee Tossed for Allegedly Throwing Peanuts at Black CNN Camerawoman and Yelling ‘This Is How We Feed Animals’ Sometime Tuesday afternoon, an attendee at the Republican National Convention in Tampa threw peanuts at a black female CNN camerawoman and shouted at her "This is how we feed animals," according to David Schuster of Take Action News, who's attending the RNC and first reported the incident on Twitter. CNN confirmed to Talking Points Memo that an incident indeed occurred and that a person was booted from the convention, although the identity of both the CNN worker and the...
