The physician credited with discovering Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) in American football players said that anyone who lets children play football could be held accountable for abuse. “Someday there will be a district attorney who will prosecute for child abuse [on the football field], and it will succeed,” said Dr. Bennet Omalu at a New York Press Club talk, Sports Illustrated reported. His remarks come shortly after a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that 110 out of 111 National Football League players had evidence of CTE when their brains were examined postmortem.

Authorities are looking for fishermen who appeared in a viral video of a shark being dragged behind a boat at high speeds. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission has launched an investigation after at least three men can be seen in the video, talking about how the shark is going to die as it helplessly flops around in the water behind their boat. Will Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan ever be welcome in Washington again? Many US legislators would like to think he wouldn't dare come back after the horrid events of May 16, when his security detail attacked peaceful protesters. Just days later, a bipartisan House resolution was introduced to condemn Turkey and ask for the perpetrators to be prosecuted. Dana Rohrabacher, Republican chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee for Europe, said Erdogan "is an enemy of everything we stand for. … More importantly, he is an enemy of his own people.” These are some of the strongest words of public...
