If you’re feeling angry about the issues of the day–from Trump’s immigration ban to moves to skirt internet privacy–here’s a new, more productive way to vent: Get paid to set up an activist group. The nonprofit Fight for the Future, which works on keeping the internet free and open, recently announced a campaign to start “A-Teams” (Activism Teams). It’s prepared to offer $15,000 for a month’s startup capital. And it’s enlisting non-traditional types, including journalists, lawyers, advertisers, therapists, nurses, and designers. “There are incubators and accelerators that every year fund companies that change the world. We want to do something...

I was driving into work this morning and heard an ad for this site (http://tpusa.com) on the news talk radio station I listen to. Apparently some Lib professors were on their list and they were complaining about it. Amoung other things, their stated mission is to: "Launch, organize, and support student groups that exist to educate students about the benefits of limited government, capitalism, and freedom." Sounds great to me. No doubt some of you have heard of it, so what's you're opinion?

We hear it all the time from politicians: They are finally going to stop the “waste, fraud, and abuse” in government. In states with more corruption, like Pennsylvania, New York, or Illinois, calls to clean up government are frequent as well. The problem is that these promises rarely come to fruition. This week—Sunshine Week—is a perfect time to stop waiting for someone else to fix these problems. Let’s look to citizens, and a push for more open government, to get the job done. As the saying goes, sunlight is the best disinfectant of all.

Southern rock band Blackberry Smoke is sticking to what they know. "I don't think that our fans want to hear about our politics," lead singer Charlie Starr told Fox News. "We're not what you would call a politically-charged band." The Georgia native said their job as musicians is to offer their fans an escape from the often-harsh world, not share their politics.

Q: What is the goal of A Day Without a Woman? A: The goal is to highlight the economic power and significance that women have in the US and global economies, while calling attention to the economic injustices women and gender nonconforming people continue to face. We play an indispensable role in the daily functions of life in all of society, through paid & unpaid, seen & unseen labor. We must have the power to control our bodies and be free from gender norms, expectations and stereotypes. We must free ourselves and our society from the constant awarding of power,...

In case you were not aware of it, the 4th circuit court ruled that the 2nd amendment does not apply to military appearing weapons. Now, this is a curious ruling in that [1] it applies constitutional standards that are not present (the appearance of a firearm), [2] a ruling of 10-4 in favor of this (heavily stacked by liberal progressive -socialists), [3] affects the 2nd amendment, [4] which the liberals say does not apply to individuals but to militias. What is not reported in the media (aside from just about everything regarding this) is that the 2nd amendment applies to...

WATCH: Fmr AG Loretta Lynch alludes to blood and death on streets; Says rights being ‘rolled back’ (video) “…They’ve marched, they’ve bled and yes, some of them died. This is hard. Every good thing is. We have done this before. Young America Foundation and the UCSB Republicans sponsored a lecture by author Ben Shapiro this evening. They overcame objections by the UCSB Black Students Union who attempted to cancel the lecture. Shapiro was well received by an overflow audience of over 700 students and community members with a modest line out the door. He spoke on a number of topics, emphasizing American greatness and opportunity. Seven police officers were seen outside the auditorium in case of protests. Shapiro last spoke at UCSB in 2013, has been banned from speaking engagements at other universities and was escorted off the CSU Los...

West Virginia UniversityÂ’s student government has approved funding for a leftist student group whose leader was recorded physically attacking members of a conservative group three weeks ago.The Left Alliance had also told the Turning Point USA chapter to leave its Jan. 25 meeting, a possible violation of the code for registered student organizations.Though the universityÂ’s Office of Student Conduct investigated Kelley DenhamÂ’s recorded aggression toward the conservative students and interviewed the parties, nothing public has come of it, leaving the Left AllianceÂ’s campus status intact. The group proceeded to apply for a $1,000 grant from the Student Government Association, which would...

Comedian Eddie Griffin encouraged audience members to assassinate President Trump during a standup comedy routine in Dallas, Texas on Friday, but Facebook doesn’t want you to know that. Ben Ferguson, a radio show host who attended the show at the American Airlines Center, told The Federalist that Griffin made references to late President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, saying: “Ya’ll took out one president, you need to take out another.” “Ya’ll need to put Trump into a convertible and take him out, or better yet, the driver should take him out,” he continued.

When former President Barack Obama said he was “heartened” by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.

In the middle of the first 30 days, we have reached the first major hurdle of the trump presidency. It seems that I had forgotten that we have been warned about massive government corruption for 50+ years. To remove these obstacles to freedom and to restore the republic is not going to be a cake walk. Actually, after having some time to look more closely at the current situation (immigration). Maybe it is best that we deal with these issues right here and now. Think of the Trump as the highly skilled surgeon who understands the cancer has to be...

Freepers, Is There A Petition At WhiteHouse.Gov Calling For The Arrest Of George Soros? If not I will start one. It is beyond time for this agitator to pay crimes against humanity. Any help in the wording of this would be useful, my goal is to get one million or more electronic signatures. Any other advice would be useful. Thank you johnk

I was sitting at home tonight when the door bell rang. I answered and Young dude introduces himself as representing the food and water organization. His claim? He claims that they are pressuring lawmakers to invest in infrastructure to replace lead pipes in urban areas. He wanted me to sign a petition and donate. I examined the petition and losing led up the website to find this: http://www.foodandwaterwatch.org I kicked his false pretense liberal ass off of my porch. I think this organization could use a freeping.

The hottest ticket to the Women’s March on Washington is on the bus-sharing startup Skeddadle, which allows people to commission private bus rides and is trying to change the future of long-distance transportation. Most of Skeddadle’s business comes from people scheduling events – going to ski resorts or music festivals for a weekend. It’s a social experience where passengers share rides with people who have similar interests. But Skeddadle sees itself as public transit of the future, and is building towards being the least expensive, most convenient way to get in or out of a city. “The March is amazing...

Raleigh, N.C. — In a reversal of a decision made over the summer, an anti-abortion group will be able to open a resource center next to a clinic that provides abortions. A Hand of Hope ministry, which operates the Your Choice Pregnancy Clinic and provides free pregnancy services, purchased property at 1522 Jones Franklin Road, next to A Preferred Women's Health Center, and wanted to move there from leased space about a quarter-mile away.

Hillary Clinton is scheduled to speak around 7PM tonight at the Delevoe Memorial Park. 2520 NW 6th St Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311 Hillary received a warm Florida TRUMP welcome on Monday. She stopped at an early voting poll and was greeted by Trump supporters with TRUMP signs. From a first hand report at the thread listed below posted by Maggief: After that, the Trump escort welcomed Hillary at the Pompano Beach Amphitheatre. When Hillary pulled up in her limo, she was greeted with chants of "lock her up!" She refused to exit the vehicle and they [sped away] from the...
