This absolutely sickens me. It is the lowest of the low. Liberal Alan Colmes mocks Rick Santorum for treating his dead son with dignity. Colmes was suggesting that voters would shun Santorum once they “get a load of some of the crazy things he’s said and done, like taking his two-hour-old baby when it died right after child birth home and played with it so that his other children would know that the child was real." Notice the word "it." Colmes said the Santorum's took "it" home. My goodness, even a child that is born is still an "it"...

I don't see how one could come to any other conclusion when reading this piece from Mediaite about a confrontation between NRO's Rich Lowrey and the liberal pundit. The imbroglio erupted when Colmes said that Iowans would get off the Santorum bandwagon once they discovered some of the "crazy things" he's said and done. The segment was pegged to Santorum's polling surge in Iowa, which Colmes argued wouldn't last "once they get a load of some of the crazy things he's said and done, like taking his two-hour-old baby who died after childbirth and played with it

I am an admirer of Kathy Shaidle’s work, but in attacking Alan Colmes she became needlessly (and unfairly) personal. Alan Colmes was an important component of the Hannity and Colmes show, providing an element of the unpredictable and putting conservatives like myself to the test.

Let's call it a "blast from the past." Yesterday, David Horowitz noted with perceptible disgust that former Sean Hannity sidecar occupant Alan Colmes had waved away criticism of disgraced "Green Jobs Czar" and admitted Communist Van Jones by describing Jones as simply "a mainstream liberal." Just like us, Fox News got into the April Fools' Day spirit yesterday. The top of the 9pmET hour on FNC, normally reserved for the "Hannity" intro, was taken over by a red-hued, Communist-themed opener to a new show, "Colmes," with Sean Hannity's former co-host, Alan Colmes at the helm. Perhaps the highlight of all such activity, chock full of drama, was this heated exchange between Dick Morris and Alan Colmes on FOX News. The first part of this video shows Morris giving effusive praise of Sarah Palin's performance in last night's debate. As a resident of Florida’s Gulf Coast, I am bombarded daily by newspapers that are blatantly biased in favor of Democrats and liberal ideas. I find it hard to understand since Florida often goes Republican in national and state elections, and since such a large number of residents in this area are successful retirees who have little use for liberal nonsense. Each morning for me is a time of alternately grumbling and outright laughter at the way the news is presented, the biases of the columnists selected and the letters to the editor that are culled.
