Yesterday's taping of "Fresh Air" focused on the life's work of conservative political strategist and direct mail specialist, Richard Viguerie. In order to balance out the hatchet job she performed on that pioneering architect of a brilliant new device in American politics, Ms. Gross invited David Brock-prevaricator, turncoat and all around tool-onto her program tonight, to defend his own noxious actions and to tear down people whose shoes he's not fit to lick.

Recently, while watching The Judge Mathis Show, I noticed in the list of credits the name Anita Hill listed as Assistant to Judge Mathis. It didn't say Professor Anita Hill, so I don't know if it is the same person or not. If it is, Judge Mathis better watch his step, especially when offering her a can of Coke.

How do you know if you're a Democrat? If you've ever met someone down on his or her luck, and you wanted to help, then you're a Democrat. If you have ever seen the look in a child's eyes of fear, of hunger, or of aspiration, and wanted to help, then you're a Democrat. If you have ever wanted leadership that had common sense, that cared about the future, and that wanted progress over partisanship, then you're a Democrat. If you believe that we are better off working together than apart, then you're a Democrat. If you believe in community,...

The Complete Anita Hill The woman who nearly derailed Clarence Thomas's Supreme Court nomination 11 years ago is now happily teaching at Brandeis - and still disclaiming credit for awakening Americans to workplace sexual harrassment By Florence George Graves, 1/19/2003 Anita Hill is shopping at T. J. Maxx in Woburn when she turns to the customer beside her for a second opinion: "What do you think of these shoes?" "Anita?" the woman gasps, stunned to be face to face with the person whose name became a household word during the 1991 confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas....

WASHINGTON, March 22 (UPI) -- No one is exactly sure when political arguments first moved beyond policy into the realm of the intensely personal. Most observers point to the fight over Judge Robert Bork's nomination to the Supreme Court as the turning point. The Senate, it should be remembered, rejected Bork after a pitched and heated battle in which his opinions were distorted, his character was attacked and his qualifications were ignored. Other who have written on the subject call the Bork nomination the point at which the implicit concerns that exist over every Supreme Court nominee became explicit --...
