Interesting discussion on Slashdot. Apparently the bosses in charge at a project management company, Basecamp, decided that the never ending political “discussion” (aka ranting, proselytizing, whining, virtue signaling, harassment, etc.) on company time and across company assets (e.g., eMails, etc.) were too much. So, it is forbidden. Read the letter to employees. Surprisingly, the reaction at Slashdot (https://politics.slashdot.org/story/21/04/30/2114254/basecamp-sees-mass-employee-exodus-after-ceo-bans-political-discussions ) is almost 100% supportive. (CNN)Growing concern that top U.S. military leaders are increasingly being asked to comment on proposals by presidential candidates has led the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to draft a letter to all troops with one message: Stay out of politics.
