  • The Tanks Are Coming: Russia Introduces Tank Units to Airborne Forces and Naval Infantry

    04/04/2018 9:47:16 PM PDT · by ameribbean expat · 29 replies
The Airborne Troops (Vozdushno-Desantnye Voyska—VDV) have been much less affected by the military reforms initiated in 2008 than any of the other services in the Russian Armed Forces. Unlike the Ground Forces, the VDV has pointedly retained its divisional structure, despite plans to move toward a brigade-centric model in both 2009 and 2012 (Vzglyad, May 27, 2009; April 9, 2012). That said, however, the VDV’s units have undergone certain notable changes regarding their number and organization, as well as concerning the provision of new equipment. For instance, in 2013, three air-assault brigades were resubordinated to the VDV (The 11th, 56th...

As the feminist Kamikaze bears down on the U.S.S. Pentagon, spineless brass sip Mint Juleps on the bridge, adding up their pensions and hoping to abandon ship before the US military is catastrophically killed in the next war. Which it will be, if nothing changes, mark my words. Across the military, standards are dropping faster than a Greg Maddux sinker; as lackeys, perfumed princes, feather merchants and cultural Marxist, Obama holdouts do their best to make the US Military the Laughing Stock of the World. Standards are hitting new lows across the board in the military, in order to fuel...

Indian officers and officials expressed concerns before an Indian parliamentary committee on defence, service chiefs revealed dire shortfalls in equipment and investment. According to an article that appeared in the Asia section of the print edition of ‘The Economist’: “Judging from the three services’ own testimony, the airing of such grievances is long overdue. MPs were told that some 68% of the army’s equipment, much of which was first supplied by the Soviet Union, such as BMP-2 personnel carriers and Shilka anti-aircraft guns, may be described as “vintage”

When an evil assailant opened fire on students attending Parkland High School last week in Florida, JROTC enlistees jumped into action to protect their peers. Grabbing Kevlar mats, they shielded students from a barrage of bullets and saved lives. JROTC Cadet Peter Wang made the ultimate sacrifice and gave his life while holding the door open for people to escape.Wang had dreams of attending West Point Academy after high school and planned to have a career serving his country in the United States Army. He was posthumously admitted to the institution this week. One of USMA's priorities is to develop leaders...

ince the Florida school shooting happened in an election year, liberals have been working valiantly to somehow tie the National Rifle Association to the tragedy. This isn’t a new phenomenon, but some of them seemed to think they’d struck gold when they found out about a marksmanship program operated at the school which the shooter previously belonged to. It turns out that the program received a grant to partially fund it from the NRA, leading to some hot take headlines which are melting down laptop and phone screens today. These include, “Nikolas Cruz was reportedly on an NRA-funded rifle team...

MANBIJ, Syria – On the ground in Syria, the top U.S. general in the coalition fighting the Islamic State group pledged on Wednesday that American troops would remain in the northern Syrian Kurdish town of Manbij despite Ankara's demands for a U.S. pullout. "We're here to ensure the lasting defeat of ISIS is maintained in this area," Lt. Gen. Paul E. Funk said during a visit to U.S. forces in Manbij. ISIS is an alternative acronym for the Islamic State group. Funk's visit comes amid rising tensions between Turkey and the United States — NATO allies that have ended up...

The 46-year-old Grow was hit again and again with questions by a federal prosecutor about receiving and paying kickbacks to score lucrative patient referrals for a major South Florida pharmacy. “You were...

The warrior culture in the US Army is dying every day, in a hideously slow death by a thousand lacerations of social engineering, diversity and political correctness lunacy, abated by senior army leaders who are too gutless to raise even a finger in protest. From Green Beret training standards lower than ROTC camp in the 80’s to Mommy Rangers, lactation memos, pregnancy simulators during physical training and a parade of cadets in red high heels, it’s more than apparent that this ain’t your father’s army anymore. Heck, it ain’t even your older brother’s army anymore. The army, like the rest...

Stabbed in the neck by an asylum seekerThe blast was so powerful that it shook windows a mile away. Ahmad’s first thought was that someone had thrown yet another bomb at the police. He was right. On Wednesday night an explosive device was hurled at the police station in Rosengard, a troubled area of Malmo, Sweden’s third largest city. Attacks on the police are increasingly frequent. Rosengard’s force works from a black fortress of reinforced concrete with narrow windows and a 10ft-high electric fence. “I knew it was a bomb again,” said Ahmad, 53, who lives in the area...

Finally, a real warrior has emerged from the morass of leftist jellyfish trolling through the hallways of the Pentagon. Finally, a real warrior has come forward to speak the truth – war is hell and the US military is currently in the process of sending as many ISIS fighters to the gates of Hades where they belong. The news exploded today with the story of the army’s senior enlisted man, Command Sergeant Major John Wayne Troxell (you can’t make this stuff up) who stated on Tuesday in a Facebook post: “ISIS needs to understand that the Joint Force is on...

The U.S. Army yanked Maj. Gen. Ryan Gonsalves‘ nomination to a third star because it determined that he called a female congressional staffer “sweetheart,” according to Stars and Stripes. This violated the Army Command Policy’s rule on “dignity and respect.” An anonymous complaint was filed to the Army Inspector General on July 20. The exchange reportedly happened at a October 2016 meeting at Fort Carson, Colorado. According to the IG’s findings, Gonsalves picked on the staffer, who worked for Rep. Jim Langevin (D-Rhode Island 2nd district). He allegedly asked her about her age, and told her to take notes  “since she was a Democrat and...

Army atheist yells, ‘God save me’, as shells explode by Roger Griffiths This article arose from an exchange of information between CMI’s translations facilitator Roger Griffiths and John T. Tolbert, an evangelist working with several language groups in Asia, primarily Vietnamese. Published: 12 December 2017 (GMT+10) John recalls, as a five-year-old, looking up at the sky, and realizing there must be a God. At 17 years, he joined the US Army, which was engaged in the Vietnam War. During basic training, an older colleague, hearing that John believed in God, gave him Mark Twain’s Letters from the Earth, which lampoons...
