Serena Williams says on social media that she gave birth to a baby girl named Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. She says the baby was born on Sept. 1 and weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces. One posting also says about the newborn, "Grand Slam Titles: 1." The 35-year-old Williams won her 23rd Grand Slam singles title at the Australian Open in January — while she was pregnant.

JACKSON, Miss. -- A 5-month-old baby girl was kidnapped at gunpoint Saturday morning near Mantachie in northeast Mississippi's Itawamba County. The Mississippi Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert following the kidnapping, which happened around 11:30 a.m. The FBI and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation joined the search Saturday afternoon. Authorities consider the child to be in danger and said the kidnapping suspects could be headed to Atlanta. Itawamba County sits on the border with Alabama and is about 60 miles from the Tennesseee state line as well.

So, early Saturday, his little girl was welcomed into the world with awe and excitement, four days after her father was killed in Iraq.
