In the days since the Air Force shot down three unidentified objects out of the sky, questions linger about just what these objects actually were. On Thursday, a report by Aviation Week offered an hypothesis about what one of those three objects could be: a "missing in action" globe-trotting balloon belonging to an Illinois-based hobbyist club. In this photo provided by Chad Fish, a large balloon drifts above the Atlantic Ocean, just off the coast of South Carolina, with a fighter jet and its contrail seen below it, on Saturday, Feb. 4. In the days since the U.S. Air Force shot down three unidentified objects out of the sky, questions linger about just what these objects actually were. On Thursday, a report by Aviation Week offered an intriguing hypothesis about what one of those three objects could be: a "missing in action" globe-trotting balloon belonging to an Illinois-based hobbyist club. The Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade’s (NIBBB) silver-coated, party-style "pico balloon" reported its last position on Feb. 10 at nearly 40,000 ft. off the west coast of Alaska.

President Biden delivers remarks on the downing of unidentified aerial objects last weekend, as well as the Chinese spy balloon off the coast of North Carolina last week.

On Wednesday’s “CNN Newsroom,” Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) called for the U.S. to take on China “in a much more robust way than we are” and responded to a question on whether he’s confident in assertions that the U.S. was able to jam the spy balloon from transmitting information to China by stating that he thinks the U.S. “worked to minimize any potential signatures that our sensitive sites had that could have been picked up” by China’s spy balloon and he believes “we succeeded largely in avoiding” the balloon capturing “incredible information.” Co-host Bianna Golodryga...

Vice President Kamala Harris told Politico during an interview Tuesday the U.S. military downing a suspected Chinese spy balloon should not impact diplomatic relations with communist China. “I don’t think so, no,” she told the outlet while arguing the Biden administration seeks “competition” with Beijing and “not conflict or confrontation.” The vice president also noted she made similar comments to the Chinese communist dictator Xi Jinping in November when they met at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Bangkok. “Everything that has happened in the last week and a half is, we believe, very consistent with our stated approach,”...

I saw this posted on another site. It was just too good not to share here.

Feb. 12: Lake Huron Location and altitude: The object was around 20,000 feet, soaring near the eastern portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It was shot down over Lake Huron, "about 15 nautical miles east of the Upper Peninsula," VanHerck said. Size and shape: "It presented as an octagonal structure with strings hanging off but no discernable payload," a senior Biden administration official said. What shot it down: An F-16, firing an AIM-9X Sidewinder missile. Reason given: "We did not assess it to be a kinetic military threat to anything on the ground," the North American Aerospace Defense Command said, "but...

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul revealed Sunday that the Chinese spy balloon that traversed the United States "did a lot of damage." Speaking on CBS News' "Face the Nation," the Texas Republican explained that by not preemptively downing the balloon, the Biden administration essentially allowed China to gather intelligence on areas sensitive to national security. The noteworthy revelation came after host Margaret Brennan asked McCaul about new restrictions enacted on six Chinese companies whose technology was used in the spy balloon's construction. "It will be one of my number-one priorities, as the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee...

Let’s start with the balloon whose story is the most clear, i.e. the Chinese spy balloon that flew over the US this month. That balloon was shot down over the ocean off the coast of South Carolina. You may have seen photos of portions of the balloon being pulled into a boat. These images were taken last week. The DoD has released photos of the recovery operation off the coast of South Carolina to gather the CCP spy balloon debris.Credit: Petty Officer 1st Class Tyler Thompsonpic.twitter.com/ODRoS8I3iu— Julio Rosas (@Julio_Rosas11) February 13, 2023Today the DOD released even more photos of the ongoing...

China’s intelligence capability may be even greater than we’ve feared.Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer claimed that the spy balloon that crossed the continental United States this month was redundant from an intelligence perspective, speaking on ABC News’ This Week Sunday. China has gone on the offensive with its rhetoric in regard to the multiple balloons or else 'unidentified objects' reported shot down by the US military in the last days over North America. China has been under pressure to respond for more than a week now, as the Chinese 'spy' balloon saga has pervaded international headlines. Its foreign ministry on Monday decried US hypocrisy in asserting that the United States breached Chinese airspace without permission at least 10 times with high-altitude balloons since early 2022. This as Beijing officials have suggested they are currently tracking more."It is nothing rare for U.S....

China steals billions worth of U.S. intellectually property and maintains a "massive spy ring" in U.S. institutions, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., said Sunday. Comer argued during an appearance on ABC's "This Week" that the problem of Chinese surveillance was "a lot bigger" than spy balloons floating over the country. Comer bashed President Biden for allowing China's craft to cross the continental U.S., but said the failure of the Biden administration to combat intellectual property theft was the true issue. "You know, China continues to steal our intellectual property. They continue to steal our patents. They manipulate their...

As we have unidentified flying objects breaching our airspace and being shot down, the response from the Biden administration seems painfully slow and lacking in transparency. Joe Biden has said nothing over the last couple of days about the objects being shot down. He spoke about the original Chinese spy balloon during an interview on Thursday where he shamefully downplayed his slow response, saying there’s a lot of spying and it wasn’t a “major breach.” Meanwhile, he’s busy trying to defend himself in his classified documents scandal and blaming everyone but himself. He made a damning admission that he has...

The Federal Aviation Administration has declared a "national defense airspace" over part of Lake Michigan, the organization announced Sunday. The FAA has not clarified why it has banned civilian air traffic from the area. The FAA last established a national defense airspace over Montana this weekend in reaction to an unidentified flying object. This is a developing story. Check back soon for updates.

Well, the Chinese have done it again...or have they? Recently, Biden's spokespersons announced the shoot-down of an "object" over far Northeastern Alaska, shot down where it would land on an ice floe in Prudhoe Bay. The Pentagon was quick to "not call it" a balloon, just as they were careful not to call where it crashed down "ice." Instead, they called the balloon an "object" and called it "frozen water." Why did Biden permit a massive balloon, with an equipment pod as large as a commercial airliner, to overfly the entire United States — including our nuclear missile silos in...

Fighter jets were scrambled and Montana's airspace closed due to a 'radar anomaly', officials said on Saturday night - admitting that nothing suspicious was detected by the planes. NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, issued a statement hours at 9:30pm on Saturday night - an hour after Montana congressman Matt Rosendale said jets were responding to an 'airborne object' spotted above his state. NORAD said they 'detected a radar anomaly and sent fighter aircraft to investigate.'

The US intelligence community developed a secret technology to track China’s fleet of surveillance balloons only in the last year ... Although they won’t say how we’re doing it, the sources claim that the US can now even track past balloon flights—which is why the news only recently came out that the lighter-than-air craft crossed American airspace during the Trump administration. Like a scene out of “Back to the Future,” the Pentagon only recently realized that these intrusions had occurred. Despite the Biden administration’s insinuation that somehow Trump knew about these flights and did nothing about them, the truth is...

An employee at the marine development authority of Qingdao’s Jimo district said the “relevant authorities” are preparing to bring down the object, the report said. The employee was not informed what the object was. The person said fishermen in the area have been told to be careful about safety, the report added. The United States and Canada brought down three high-altitude airborne objects in February, including one that Washington said was sent deliberately by China for surveillance. Beijing countered that it was a harmless weather-monitoring device that blew off course.
