Billboards along eastbound Interstate 635 near Audelia Road, along northbound Interstate 35E near Royal Lane and at two other locations advertise homicide and suicide cleanup services. Big corporations like Nike and ABC were promoting themselves by pasting large plastic posters, known as street decals, on the sidewalks. This renegade marketing is offensive and illegal, and Nike wisely decided yesterday to remove its decals. There is a long tradition of graffiti artists, "guerrilla marketers" and fringe political groups painting, stenciling or otherwise inscribing their messages on the streets and sidewalks. Cows have been turned into walking advertising hoardings in Switzerland. Company logos and slogans are being painted on to cow's bodies before the animals are released back on to Swiss pastures as part of a brand name marketing campaign. Frank Baumann, who is head of the Cow Placard Company, says he hopes the idea will "help boost the rural economy". The company is offering advertisers the chance to have a logo or slogan painted onto a cow's side using car paints. But the move has been criticised by animal rights groups who say Baumann is simply looking for the publicity...

Hey Brothers and Sisters! Has anyone seen the "God Billboards" in your state? We were driving back from vacation (traveled abroad to The Independent Republic of Texas) and going through Arizona we noticed a couple of these billboards. They are on a black background with white letters. There is no sponsoring organization listed anywhere but I was able to find out all the "quotes" that will be advertised.
