Librado Romero/The New York TimesSenator John McCain delivers commencement speech during The New Schools ceremony at Madison Square Garden. Students holding leaflets and turning backs during McCain's address. Librado Romero/The New York Times Senator John McCain, the keynote speaker at the New School University graduation, was received with jeers, boos and insults. The jeers, boos and insults flew, as caustic as any that angry New Yorkers have hurled inside Madison Square Garden. The objects of derision yesterday, however, were not the hapless New York Knicks, but Senator John McCain, the keynote speaker at the New School graduation, and his...

The late Pat Moynihan used to joke when I asked him why liberals were so reluctant to consider changing Social Security so that it guaranteed wealth as well as income: "It's because they worry that wealth will turn Democrats into Republicans." Leaving aside that possible correlation, it will be a shame if liberal voices, values and ideas are not brought into the debate initiated by President Bush's Social Security reform proposal. To make certain the reforms are done correctly liberal thinking is urgently needed...... .....Though these bonds are far from "worthless," as some critics allege, the picture of them "accumulating...

BOB KERREY'S DEFENSE OF JOHN KERRY ON "MEET THE PRESS." Read the whole transcript. Overall, it was a bumbling performance, but let me point out two things he said. First: One thing we know about Osama bin Laden, his whereabouts, he's not in Iraq. By the way, for the American people, this guy is a mass murderer. You know, he's Jeffrey Dahmer times a thousand. So nobody should listen to him with any sympathy. Nobody should listen to him and try to make their decision about who they're going to vote for based upon what he says. We need to...

Tonight on Fox News I heard something (while I was on the phone) about the Kerry campaign claiming that Johnny boy attended certain Intelligence Committee meetings or something, mistaking him in their claims for "Bob" Kerry, who actually attended those meetings. They looked really foolish, or so it seemed, but I did not catch it all. Can someone fill me in?

In less than 15 months Americans will go to the polls to decide whether to give President Bush four more years or to select instead one of the nine Democratic candidates who are now vying for the nomination of their party. As a Democrat and a former candidate myself, I have been watching with great interest, respect and sympathy for those who suffer the various ordeals of a grueling campaign schedule.

This superb event included thousands of flags, loud USA chants, the correct version of the pledge, A PRAYER!!! plus some great speeches from fmr. SenatorBob Kerry and Tuskegee airman Col. Lane among others. It was a great day to be an American and a proud Freeper. Pictures to follow when available.
