Trump Now Leading In National Poll Averages Ricardo R. Galvan Sunday, May 22, 2016 Despite claims by the media that Trump would likely lose the election against Hillary (while absurdly claiming that John Kasich performed the best in a head on fight with Clinton), the RCP average of national polls now gives Trump a slight edge. The Hill reports: Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump has overtaken Democratic front-runnerHillary Clinton in an average of head-to-head national polls, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls.Trump leads Clinton by 0.2 percentage points, 43.4 percent to 43.2 percent in the average, overtaking the...

Former House Speaker and potential/rumored pick for Trump running mate, Newt Gingrich, speaks with Fox News Channel's Maria Bartiromo about his general election predictions. He forecasts that by November, the race will no longer be close, and that Trump will win by "a suprisingly big number" like Ronald Reagan did in 1980. NEWT GINGRICH: I don't think these polls signal a close race by November. I think if you look at the trend line, it signals that Trump will probably consolodate support while Hillary Clinton continues to stagnate. And the odds are pretty good Trump will win just like Reagan...

Obama has consistently spoken out against Second Amendment rights. A poster showing Barack Obama is seen in the background as customers line up to look at firearms at a gun shop in Fort Worth, Texas, Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008. The Cheaper Than Dirt gun store recorded a record day of gun sales the day after the election of President-elect Barack Obama and is having trouble keeping up with the demand for assault riffles. An overwhelming majority of Republican voters say their party’s leaders should get behind Donald J. Trump, even as he enters the general election saddled with toxic favorability ratings among the broader electorate, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll. And as Mr. Trump faces deep skepticism with general election voters and some Republican holdouts, the Democratic front-runner, Hillary Clinton, is grappling with Senator Bernie Sanders and how to win over his impassioned supporters. Both parties thus approach their July nominating conventions with significant unease and hurdles to overcome. Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton are widely disliked by voters,...

A Cairo-bound EgyptAir flight that went down in the Mediterranean Sea with 66 aboard early Thursday hours after departing from Paris zig-zagged sharply before plunging, according to aviation officials, who said terrorism was a more likely cause of the crash than technical failure.
