PINAL COUNTY - An illegal immigrant is arrested in Pinal County and it's discovered he had gained access to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. On Thursday, Dec. 26, at 7 p.m., a Pinal County Sheriff's deputy stopped a 2006 Ford Expedition westbound on Interstate 10 near milepost 180 for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle identified himself, using an Arizona Identification Card, as 37-year old Armando Villalobos of Phoenix. The deputy did a routine license and warrant check. Cruz Bustamante violated campaign laws by paying for a TV ad campaign with more than $3 million from Indian casinos and unions, donated in violation of state contribution limits. Richie Ross, Mr. Bustamante's campaign manager, says the campaign has already spent the money and thus can't comply with the judge's order to return it to the donors. The controversy will dog Mr. Bustamante's campaign as well as raise questions about the disproportionate influence that Indian casinos now exercise in California government.</p>

I didn't see this posted, so forgive me if a duplicate: Fox just carried a speech of Arnold's at the CA Republican meeting. It was a live clip of him speaking about taxes, and at the end of the "they-tax-us-when-we-get-up" standard line, he said, "and that's why the first thing I'll do is repeal the CA car tax." I'm paraphrasing, and Fox cut away, so I didn't hear any more. Did anyone else have any info on this?

Watching my local news I just heard Boxer say she spoke with Davis today and Bustamonte and she said that they're coming close to an agreement which will be announced within the next few days. Me thinks Davis is being forced out, so Bustamonte will be able to run as the current Governor. Ya think?

Republican California legislator Tony Strickland was just on the Al Rantel show. He said that his RAT sources have said that now that the RUNNING MAN is running for governor, Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamonte will break ranks and announce his candidacy. Bustamonte made headlines when he used the N-word before a group of blacks at a speaking engagement. KABC just aired the following report : Cruz Bustamonte says that if Gray Davis is recalled, then the state constitution's governor successor list goes into effect therefore he would be the next governor of California no matter who gets the most votes to replace Davis since the constitution takes precidence over election laws.
