Folks - I want to buy some "prep" food for my son & his soon-to-be-bride. I want to make sure they have some stored food & the easiest way (unlike how I've done it) is to just buy some stored food from Patriot Food Supply or such. I'm curious if any Freepers have purchased & what they consider the best options, where you have purchased from or what advice you might have. Appreciate the advice!

I gave up on any good shows on regular TV a long time ago, found myself watching shows on Amazon Prime and Netflix like Peter Gunn. I also found JLTV through DirecTV and watch great old shows like the Jack Benny Show and the Dinah Shore Show.....sad I know but wondering if other Freepers have found any nostalgic shows worth mentioning? Also, does anyone know who does the song between shows on Encore Western. Not really what I would call a "western" tune but I am just curious who does that song.

I would like a list so I too can use my financial clout to no longer support these businesses.

Folks, what are your favorite movies that pay deserved tribute to the men and women who serve us so bravely and boldly?

OK...a fellow employee has chickens and she gives me about two dozen every week, or every other. Me and mine can't keep up! I hate to turn them down, she has no one else to give them to. I have given a few away but I was wondering if I could use them for a future purpose. Any prepper ideas on what I can do with these? Can I dry them, dehydrate?? I will keep the shells for the garden but I was hoping I could do something with these instead of feeding the dogs a nice treat every day...

I heard recently that a lot of "wealthy" Americans are selling off their wealth. I am not by any means "wealthy" but really, what does that mean? Government wealthy? Own my own home wealthy? Just wondered what FReepers are doing? Selling? Buying?

This is a state and a national disgrace! Both parties are to blame here, both democrats and republicans. One Rino incumbent hires a couple of guys to challenge new people on the ballet.... people who filed their paperwork as they were told by their part leaders. Only to find out that apparently almost 200 of these folks did not complete the paperwork correctly. So the issue goes before the state supreme court...the court that is appointed by the politicians they protect! The court rules that, from the two laws on the books, the older law takes precedent over the new...

So it is about time for me to start shopping for Christmas and I ask help from other FReepers on what stores, web sites, etc. to shop at or avoid if they take Christ out of Christmas. This year I am adding a new addition to my list - if your company supports OWS with donations, food, etc. You are dead to me! I support the right to protest but when cops are attacked and other companies businesses suffer, I will not buy from your company! JMHO

One of my favs that I have in my collection is "The Longest Day"....I did see where the Western Channel is doing the John Wayne all day salute on Memorial Day....anybody got favs they watch over this weekend?

Looking for legit websites, job boards, etc. that I can tell me 19 year old son about. He is in his Sophomore year at college and studying Bus. Mgt. He wants to go into Accounting (as of right now)when he completes college. He has worked each summer either at a regular job and last year as an intern at church working with youth. This summer he would like to find an intern job which would help him learn more about business. He is checking at college but so far he has not had much luck finding anything in our home...

After much discussion of what exactly Obama has been doing while the oil spilled into the Gulf, I looked at the White House website for the calendar published by the White House....Anyone want to do a follow up on how many days he played golf or attended lavish meals and parties in between the spill and his first meeting published on his calendar?

Why are Liberals so confident in their re-election that they vote against the will of the people? I just wanted to get this conversation started...or up and running again if posted in the past. During the past few months this is something I have been trying to get my mind around...why are the Liberals so confident in their re-election? What did Obama tell the Healthcare last minute yes voters in their closed door meetings? I am by no means a conspiracy lover but this is not too far from real as far as I am concerned.

So the stimulus worked huh? I have been looking for a job since February. Apprently I missed the "Stimulus bus". Where are jobs listed? I have looked at Monster, Indeed....etc. Not much going on out there.

I need a good sign for tonight's Tea Party!!!!

ANDERSON — Civil unrest escalated Thursday while protesters stood outside the Anderson construction site of a city fire station and said the workers on the project were not documented as legal United States residents.

Is there such a thing?
