While tonight and quite frankly the last 2 years have been depressing, I see some bright days ahead. One, they cant blame us anymore. Not the media. Not the internet scum on the Kos and Underground. Not Hollywood. The Libs are in charge of everything. They own EVERYTHING from January on. We'll see how that goes for them. I dont think the country will like what they have to offer. And second, the Washington establishment blue blood chicken little fat cat little idea GOP is done. They are gone. The future of this party is coming from outside the Beltway...

You know it’s a big day on the McCain campaign when Mark Salter is smiling. The senior aide to John McCain, known for his gruff demeanor, was practically giddy this morning on the campaign plane. He was cracking jokes with reporters and describing an optimistic atmosphere surrounding McCain. “We feel like we’ve been saying all week. We’re well within the margin or on top in all these battlegrounds,” Salter said. “We got a real good shot at catching the guy.”

Cavuto was covering Palin in Erie, Pa and said they are not giving up on the state despite the latest polls showing them down double digits. Ehhhh..the latest poll had it at 4 Neil. And the internal polls also have it close. Now America's Election HQ leads off with another merry sunshine Obama report from Major Garrett complete with a Larry Sabato 364-172 electoral college predicted victory for Obama. With "conservative" networks like that, who needs liberal?

Do these people know who watch their damn network? RIDICULOUS!!!

Hagel: Palin unqualified to be president Retiring Nebraska Sen. Chuck Hagel delivered a scathing indictment of the McCain-Palin campaign in a recent interview with The New Yorker. Hagel says he’s “very disappointed” by the McCain campaign and ripped into McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate. “I don’t believe she’s qualified to be President of the United States,” Hagel told the magazine. “The first judgment a potential president makes is who their running mate is—and I don’t think John made a very good selection.” Hagel scoffed at McCain’s attempts to portray her as an experienced politician, according to...

"Mitt supposedly cares about Massachusetts, but won't even return phone calls asking for help," says a conservative working for Beatty in Boston. "It's a tough race, but the least he could do is help. He's showing his true colors." Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a "diva" and was going off message intentionally. The former and current Romney supporters further are pushing Romney supporters for key Republican jobs, including head of the Republican National Committee.

DO THE REPUBLICANS EVER LEARN?? First that blonde McCain spokesperson Nancy whatever sits there for 10 minutes and lets Matthews go on and on about Palin not knowing what the VP does. With the rise to enduring power of president Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal in 1933, a new type of Republican emerged in reaction to FDR's attractive and overawing power - the-me-too Republican. Until the election of president Reagan five decades later, these me-too Republicans supported, rather than opposed, Democratic Party policies, but claimed they would administer them better. Of course this led to a half-century of Democratic dominance of American government and politics.

A statement from McCain-Palin spokesman Michael Goldfarb: "Joe Biden's commented on Sunday that Barack Obama's election as President would, within six months, result in 'an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.' Biden further added that the American people would not perceive Barack Obama's response to this crisis as correct. 'It's not gonna be apparent that we're right,' he said. Biden's remarks capture perfectly the message of this campaign: Barack Obama is too risky, too inexperienced, to serve as commander in chief--that his election by itself will provoke our enemies, and that his brief record...

Imagine that a prominent media conservative jokingly hoped, in any way shape or form, that a member of the Dem presidential ticket would be shot. How long until the MSM and various others demanded he be fired, a Secret Service investigation launched, etc? But when Bill Maher jokes about Sarah Palin being shot? Silence, except for the raucous laughter of the studio crowd. Maher offered up his violent fantasy on this past Friday's Real Time on HBO in a regular feature devoted to exploring foreign countries to which people might consider moving in the event of a McCain victory. India...

But we have seen Mrs. Palin on the national stage for seven weeks now, and there is little sign that she has the tools, the equipment, the knowledge or the philosophical grounding one hopes for, and expects, in a holder of high office. She is a person of great ambition, but the question remains: What is the purpose of the ambition? She wants to rise, but what for? For seven weeks I've listened to her, trying to understand if she is Bushian or Reaganite—a spender, to speak briefly, whose political decisions seem untethered to a political philosophy, and whose foreign...

Did anyone just see that tool Frank Luntz on Fox with Shepard Smith? He said his focus group hates Congress and the job they are doing...but...they blame the Republicans in Congress??? WHAT?!?! The Democrats have a clear majority!! How can his focus group blame the GOP for the job Congress is doing?!?! This is INSANITY! His focus group can't be undecided if they are that ANTI GOP. Just another example of Fox going in the gutter.

High Hopes [Byron York] From a post entitled "Crush Their Spirits," by Markos Moulitsas: I've been making the case the last couple of weeks that we can't just focus on winning in November, but that we have an imperative to take advantage of a historic opportunity to break the conservative movement's backs and crush their spirits. In the White House, that means getting Obama a broad popular and geographic mandate for change. In the House, that means annihilating the Republican caucus and working toward a 100-seat Democratic majority. In the Senate it means getting to a 60-seat filibuster proof majority....

If the polls are right, and McCain is in such trouble...why is he campaigning in Minnesota and Wisconsin...2 states that went fore Gore and Kerry and ones he doesn't need to win? Is his campaign that stupid or do they know something we don't? I find it hard to believe he would be spending precious time in states like this is he was in such dire straights but then again his campaign seems to be really all over the place in terms of sound decision making.
