It's not just that GHD is one the best movies ever made, it's that Bill M. is one of the best comic actors of this generation. That said, I've been told that, in the new Wes Anderson film, Bill is apperantly just as brilliant as he was when he played Peter Vinkman (he's best role). And, if anyone doesn't know who Pete Vinkman is, well, then you don't know Bill M. as well as you should.

"Are you serious about what you are saying, or are you being facetious?"

No. I'm serious. If some science teacher is going to tell their students that creationist theories are as valid as anything in their science text book, they've got to at least be aware of how the world at large views creationism. The disclaimer needs its own disclaimer! Whatever. I merely follow these debates with interest. I'll leave it to the scientists to clear all this up.

"Why not present more than one theory? How does that hurt anyone?"

I know what you mean. really. But it hurts the children. what should be of primary importance to a science teacher who's grappling with this issue is this: in the world we live in--for better or worse--people who question evolution are perceived to be a little outside reality. I'm not sure if it matters whether or not that's a fair perception. What matters is this: Why would a teacher actually go ahead and teach children something that could only make them appear really really really uneducated?
