Are we training our children to kill? I am from Jonesboro, Arkansas. I travel the world training medical, law enforcement, and U.S. military personnel about the realities of warfare. I try to make those who carry deadly force keenly aware of the magnitude of killing. Too many law enforcement and military personnel act like "cowboys," never stopping to think about who they are and what they are called to do. I hope I am able to give them a reality check. So here I am, a world traveler and an expert in the field of "killology," and the largest school...

Mutasim Ali, left, seen during a recent protest in Tel Aviv's Lewinsky Park, is the public face of an estimated 55,000-strong African immigrant population that some in Israel wish would quietly disappear.

Mutasim Ali, a spokesman for African immigrants in Israel, has a tale of terror and oppression that many officials don't want to hear.

In 2012, state lawmakers in Delaware – with the support of Attorney General Beau Biden, son of Vice President Joe Biden – pushed through legislation that redefined the duties of sheriffs and their deputies to that of process servers and prisoner transport. The legislation stripped them of all arrest authority to the point where animal control and the game warden had more authority. Christopher and other supporters of the constitutional role of the sheriff, however, are fighting back. “The battle of liberty is never over. We are attempting to get a constitutional amendment on the ballot overturning the law stripping...

The key changes: Fees for citizenship applications will increase to $300 from $100. By comparison, fees are $670 in the United States and $1,600 in the United Kingdom. Only immigrants who have been physically present in Canada four of the past six years would quality for citizenship. Time spent in Canada without permanent resident status would no longer count towards citizenship. Those applying for citizenship must file Canadian income taxes, which is not currently a requirement. Applicants 14-65 must pass the language and knowledge test, which will be administered in English or French. Currently only applicants 18-54 must do so,...

Most people would be terrified at the thought that their world might soon transform into a state of complete "anarchy." However, in one sense that is precisely what humanity needs. To many, the term "anarchy" implies violent chaos and bloody mayhem, and a complete breakdown of organized society-- a situation no decent person wants. What the word literally means, however, is "rule by no one," a society without any ruling class. And while people are right to believe that authoritarian "law and order" is the opposite of "anarchy," they are wrong to put their faith in the former, or to...

We met at high noon, she was dressed completely in green from her pilates shoes to her forest green sweatband. She wore spandex leotards, an Audubon pin and a Sierra Club tee shirt with John Muir's face on it. The leotards and Muir's likeness were distorted by her 250 pounds of greenness. I wore jeans, boots and a free cap from an auction market. It was obvious that we were from different warring tribes. She sneered at me and drew first as both our hands reached for the door to the ice cream novelties in the frozen food aisle of...

FREE HENNY PENNY! by: Baxter Black As America continues to become tangled in the web of domesticated animal welfare, we continue to exacerbate the inhumane results of our efforts. The closing of horse slaughter plants has backfired. Our emphasis on spay and neuter clinics has made just a small dent in the number of feral cats and dogs. Millions of canines and felines are euthanized each year. Feral hogs have become as welcome as coyotes, rats, prairie dogs, wolves and white tail deer in many states. The biggest factor in each case can be traced back to decisions made by...

Manassas, VA --(Ammoland.com)- The Obama administration has proposed changes to regulations dealing with the transfer of legally owned full-auto guns and other restricted items like short-barreled rifles and silencers. Such items are legal, but controlled under the National Firearms Act of 1934, and are commonly referred to as NFA items.Under current NFA regulations, an individual wishing to purchase an NFA item must submit to an extensive background check, pay a special $200 excise tax on each NFA item, and get the signature of his local “Chief Law Enforcement Officer” or CLEO – typically a sheriff or chief of police. While possession...

Manasquan, NJ --(Ammoland.com)- Mike Weisser, proprietor of the Ware Gun Shop in Ware, MA is a con-man, deadbeat and enemy of the Second Amendment! How can we make such bold statement?Because we know first hand, fact is he owes AmmoLand Shooting Sports News for advertising we ran for him, when he was doing business as “Grey Lock Holsters” in 2012. On good faith we ran his ads, as we do with all our advertisers, and after making him loads of money he stiffed us for $1800.00, dodging all our phone calls and emails ever since. Yeah we know. Having people steal from...

November 22, 2013, is the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The true story of JFK's murder has never been officially admitted, although the conclusion that JFK was murdered by a plot involving the Secret Service, the CIA and the Joint Chiefs of Staff has been well established by years of research, such as that provided by James W. Douglass in his book, JFK And The Unspeakable, published by Simon & Schuster in 2008. Ignore Douglass's interest in the Trappist monk Thomas Merton and Merton's prediction and focus on the heavily documented research that Douglass provides....

A member of the Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council is under fire for tweeting that America is “an Islamic country.”After a Twitter user asked Mohamed Elibiary on Thursday to “show me just ONE example of an Islamic country where non Muslims are treated with equality,” he responded with the controversial tweet, which was first reported by the Washington Free Beacon: “America and yes I do consider the United States of America an Islamic country with an Islamically compliant constitution. Move On!”

Convention of States: The Best Option November 04, 2013 Forget Secession or Other Plans Folks everywhere agree that the federal government has grown too large and too powerful. D.C. legislates on issues only the states should control, stealing decision-making power from the state and the people. But folks do not agree how to solve this problem. One popular remedy is nullification. Using nullification, states refuse to enforce unconstitutional federal laws. Though it sounds straightforward, nullification poses legal and practical challenges that make it virtually unusable. In a recent article, Tim Baldwin of the Liberty Defense League explains why a Convention of...

America's Slippage Is Obama's Fault ... or Not By Staff Report - October 28, 2013 World's anger at Obama policies goes beyond Europe and the NSA ... Whether miffed over spying revelations or feeling sold out by U.S. moves in the Middle East, some of the United States' closest allies are so upset that the Obama administration has gone into damage-control mode to ensure the rifts don't widen and threaten critical partnerships. The quarrels differ in their causes and degrees of seriousness. As a whole, however, they pose a new foreign policy headache for an administration whose overseas track record...

It’s been about four months since Edward Snowden’s leaks on the NSA’s blanket surveillance programs outraged privacy and Internet activists the world over, spawning real-life protests, online petitions, and high quality parody videos. Some countries got so mad, they even talked of leaving the US-run Internet. Now, the policy may actually change. Republican Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner will introduce an anti-NSA bill tomorrow in the House, and if it makes its winding way to becoming law, it will be a big step towards curtailing the NSA's bulk metadata collection. Wisconsin Rep. Sensenbrenner, along with 60 co-sponsors, aims to amend one section...

On Friday night, police say Midas, 33, of Weatherly, went to the police station in the small town of Lansford, where he was a part-time officer, and took ammunition and an unmarked police car before he drove to the home of another off-duty officer and took him hostage. Midas then drove Ondrus to nearby Jim Thorpe, where a struggle began in the tourist town of Jim Thorpe, about 70 miles north of Philadelphia. Midas shot himself in the head, police say. He died early Saturday at a hospital, according to Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim, who ruled Midas' death a...

Iran: A top independent nuclear expert now believes the regime in Tehran could have enough fuel to build an atomic weapon in about a month. Both the Obama and Bush administrations saw this day coming. ------------ "Since October 2012 when ISIS last published detailed breakout assessments about Iran's gas centrifuge uranium enrichment program, Iran has steadily expanded the number of IR-1 centrifuges installed at both its Fordow and Natanz gas centrifuge plants," ISIS reported. "Today, Iran could break out most quickly using a three-step process" and could produce a significant quantity of weapon-grade uranium "in as little as approximately 1.0—1.6...

According to the audit, the IRS is "unlikely" to significantly reduce improper payments in the future, in part because it does not want to discourage low-income earners who qualify from applying for the credit. According to the office of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, the IRS has not implemented required safeguards against improper tax credits and as of 2012, was annually handing out at least $11 billion to those who did not qualify for the benefit. According to a table in the report, the IRS has over the past decade wrongfully handed out as much as $132 billion...

Reuters is carrying an editorial today on how the DC "government has failed us – again." Knowing Reuters's record on articles like this, you might wonder why I stopped to read it. It was the title of the article, "The Sanity Caucus," that caught my eye. Surprised by the title, I scanned down, wondering if the article would make the point that the Tea Party folks, despite their methods, had the right ideas: Stop the expansion of the US government by any means possible, at least long enough to make a serious point about a serious issue. This wasn't...
