The Indiana State Police are investigating an allegation of suspicious and fraudulent voter registration information being submitted to the Hendricks County Clerk’s Office and the Marion County Voter Registration Office. This investigation began in late August and state police detectives have consulted with the Indiana Secretary of State Office about the investigation, since that office is charged with keeping statewide voter registration information. News on Friday confirmed that the economy was far weaker in the second quarter than originally believed, growing at 1.6 percent versus an initial reading of 2.4 percent. Indianapolis - As many as nine people have been shot in three separate incidents downtown. The first shooting occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Maryland Street near Illinois. Numerous shots were reported near the intersection, outside Circle Centre Mall. Police scanner traffic indicated a potential suspect running on Maryland Street after the shooting. WARSAW, Poland - Lawmakers have drawn up a resolution naming Jesus Christ as the honorary king of Poland, but have failed to win support from the country's powerful Roman Catholic church.
