A maroon-colored Ford Taurus was stolen in Wichita, KS, this afternoon. It was stolen in the vicinity of 19th and Arkansas. Anyone familiar with part of Wichita knows that this area in where the majority of Mexican immigrants live. The Taurus ended up in the parking lot of St. Patrick's Church/School. The driver of the stolen Taurus was apparently doing donuts, peeling out, and generally showing off for onlookers. The owner of the Taurus was a Mexican woman who appeared to be in her mid-30's. We adopted him from the pound when he was a puppy just under four years ago. He immediatley fit in with our family with no "adjustment". Our kids named him Balto, after the famous dog from the Alaskan tundra. We have a huge yard and his body was made for running. He was happiest when chasing squirrels or rabbits. Tomorrow, 11/21/04 is a big day for us... Because of repetative problems, we are withdrawing our boys from Wichita Public Schools to home-school. All the proper forms are in place, and there is nothing to do now but walk and get thier stuff. We have been told that the district will fight us over the legalities of this decision and we are nervous, but prepared to fight. I respectfully request a few quick prayers for strength, encouragement, and to generally put our minds at ease to know we are doing the right thing.

Anyone here ever taken an on-line course from Executrain? I'm doing some courses for work that the company has paid for. The course content is very good. I'm taken computer courses such as PowerPoint, Access, etc (Office Computer and Presentation type stuff). I do not like the way everytrhing is presented in a shockwave format....I don't need to see what they want me to learn in a cartoon -- I'm an adult.
