Thank you, Meg; love the doggies in the bluebonnets!
About the wildfires in Texas - my husband said this morning that he heard on the news that Texas is having the worst drought since 1917! We have had grass fires in the fields and area around us for a few weeks now. Fortunately, though one time we could actually see the flames, the wind was blowing the fire in a direction away from us.
We have wind, wind, wind and high temperatures and single digit humidity. No rain in 8 months. :(
You know, "Something" is still one of my favorite songs he sang on Idol. That and "Just Once", "You Are So Beautiful", "In the Ghetto" and "Trouble".
I wish we could find a You Tube of Taylor singing Clint Eastwood's song, "Gran Torino". That was such an honor Clint personally asked him to sing it at the tribute for him.
Hi, teenie! Thank you! I was so excited when I found it - it’s apparently been posted for quite a while. Look how many views it has - well over 3 million!
If it will help you, the segment with Taylor is really close to the top of the show. And HIS name is not mentioned, because he is a surprise guest. You just need to watch - it’s about a bet that Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert had, and Fallon’s win was that Colbert would have to sing “Friday” on Fallon’s show. It is hilarious! It is so campy and fun and over-the-top. He comes out in a tux and starts off very serious, then it kicks in and, well, just watch!
Thank you, Pam! I found it quite by accident yesterday afternoon, and knew without a doubt what I would post this morning for the opener. (Besides, I had almost forgotten how beautiful Taylor sang that song........almost)
Hi, jaycee. Isn't that adorable! And they couldn't have picked a more appropriate song. :)
Did you see Taylor on Jimmy Fallon a couple of weeks ago? He's repeating the show THIS Friday night. It is the cutest thing! You need to watch it if you didn't see it before. Well, even if you DID see it before, it's priceless! A YouTube was made of it and viewed over a million times in less than 2 days! Then NBC took it down because of copyright infringement. Boooo! :(
Thank you, Dubya. I just thought the pictures and the whole story was so sweet. That newborn, the early training.......what a special little one that is!
