Mexican officials paraded federal immigration agents and other law enforcement officers in front of cameras this week in Juarez, the Mexican city just south of El Paso. The show of force is part of an on-going agreement between President Joe Biden and Mexico's president for Mexico to do its part in securing the border and has been used in January as well. At least 200 National Migration Institute or INM agents have been activated to cut off a group of 2,000 migrants calling themselves the 'Way of the Cross' caravan left Chiapas, Mexico last week and are closing in on...

After US Pres. Joe Biden declared 'the rouble would be turned to rubble' by sanctions, the Russian economy looks more resilient with GDP growth hitting 3.6% in 2023 - outstripping every G7 country. America and the EU slapped Russian entities with sanctions as early as 2014 after the annexation of Crimea to deter further Russian aggression, disrupt its nefarious activities and demonstrate the West's resolve.... ...'Sanctions influenced Russia's behaviour enormously, but not in the direction of stated objectives by the sender states,' Dr. Kirkham said. 'Sanctions influenced Russia's behaviour enormously, but not in the direction of stated objectives by the...

Banks are growing increasingly confident in the capabilities of online banking, according to Steven Reider, the founder and president of Bancography, an Alabama-based consulting firm that advises banks on branch planning and strategies. That confidence can lead to significant savings since the average freestanding bank branch costs around $2.6 million a year. In just two months, Bank of America's 41 closures might have saved it almost $100 million. .....And now, credit unions are playing a more significant role than ever before - offering very similar services to traditional banks and eating up a share of the market. Unlike banks, their...

Around 800 delegates from the bipartisan group unanimously approved the plan for a 2024 'unity ticket' to take on Biden and Donald Trump in November at a virtual gathering on Friday. Puck reported that No Labels leadership has decided a Republican must be on the top of the ticket to prevent Trump from being reelected instead. The lack of an obvious candidate hasn't derailed the operation On Tuesday, Axios reported that ahead of Friday's virtual convention a super PAC related to the effort was asking donors for dollars. No Labels itself is a 501(c)(4) and can't run a traditional presidential...

An investigation has revealed suspicious communications devices inside Chinese-made cargo cranes used widely at US ports, supporting fears that the equipment could be part of an espionage plot. Cranes made by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC), a state-owned Chinese company, in some cases carry cellular modems, according to a congressional investigation reported by the Wall Street Journal on Thursday. The modems offer a potential backdoor for remote access, and do not appear to support the normal operations of the equipment, the investigation found. The discovery of the modems, which had not been previously disclosed, supports growing fears in US intelligence...

Multiple United States government websites went down as President Joe Biden delivered his State of the Union address. Websites for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Secret Service displayed technical difficulty screens for 20 minutes on Thursday night. While the government agency websites are down, much of the nation was watching Biden's pivotal State of the Union. 'Why are a bunch of government websites down at this moment in time. It seems like everyone is distracted by the state of the union so there’s a bunch of backdoor shady...

Mashaal boasted that Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacres of more than 1,200 Israelis “revived that dream” of wiping Israel off the map...... The top Hamas terrorist noted with satisfaction that the genocidal slogan “from the river to sea” was currently being chanted by “American students and in European capitals.” The senior Hamas official argued that there is “nearly a consensus” among the population in Gaza and the West Bank that no Jewish state can exist between the Mediterranean and the Jordan. While Mashaal talks about “sacrifice,” he himself continues to live a luxury life in Qatar, far removed from Gaza.

A new watchdog report found that foreign ownership of US land - including buyers from adversarial nations like China, Russia and Iran - has increased by 40 percent since 2016, with some plots near sensitive military facilities. As well as espionage concerns, there is growing alarm about the integrity of America's food supply chains. But the estimates could be the tip of the iceberg because the Government Accountability Office (GAO), which did the report, told DailyMail.com that US officials are not 'reliably' tracking data on land owners.

In an email to colleagues today, she wrote that she was standing down after 'consultation' with the school's board, which has been under pressure to replace her after defending her congressional testimony about campus antisemitism. She failed to acknowledge where she went wrong - making no mention of her refusal to condemn antisemitism as harassment at a December 5 congressional hearing or the mounting claims of plagiarism against her - but said she had been the victim of racist threats. 'It has...
