Even the folks on Fox News seem to be avoiding the real issue that riles up the Democrats about Personal Accounts for Social Security. IT REMOVES MONEY FROM THE ONGOING SUPPLY OF FUNDS TO PROVIDE BUCKS FOR THE PORK THAT THE DIMS NEED TO BUY VOTES!!! Is that difficult to fathom?

In the mid '90's, foreign companies were allowed into Vietnam and began to infuse capital. Prior to that time the VN didn't recognize Christmas though perhaps they knew it existed. Tomorrow is Memorial Day. The reason for the designation is to memorialize those vets who died to assure the freedom that we all enjoy. If you can, place some flowers or a flag in a cemetery at the grave of a veteran. If you can't, a prayer would also be great. Most all free people in the U.S. have lost a friend or a relative in defense of freedom.

I've already heard commentators say that the war has already begun and I agree, wholeheartedly. In most modern wars there are 3 steps. 1. Blind your enemy - we've done that over the past couple of weeks thru a relentless bombing campaign targeting Iraq's communications sites. 2. Shock your enemy - Should happen very soon now. 3. Occupy their territory - ought to happen right after #2. The war should be over and done with by the end of March. All of this, of course, is just IMHO.

For the benefit of personal research for a book, I'm trying to find out how the permanent members of the UN were selected and what were/are the criteria. Also, would it just take a majority vote of the UN to add more permanent members?
