After being stationed overseas for the past year, I can’t tell you how little my TV was used, unlike when I still lived state-side. I lurked on FR for quite a while until I left the country and now this is where I come for all my news/political needs. What do I use my TV for now? A place to display all the coins I’ve received.
I actually found it funny when I saw nobody supported Obama. Hell this small of a base is such a close knit community that a dem would have stuck out like a sore thumb, and promptly tarred, feathered, and run off base.
Yah, the campaign stuff being unauthorized on the network makes the polling a little tedious, but I can’t tell you how rewarding it is when you finish interviewing all of military housing and not finding a single household that supports the Obamanation. I have several friends that went SF and are now stationed in the Sandbox. We all keep in touch with each other and I can speak for all of them when I say no one I know personally supports Obama in anyway.
In my small detachment of 15 here in Southern Spain 0 of 15 support Obama. Our host base of a little over 100, and according to our recent CFC poll, 100% of this base supports McCain/Palin. I’d love to meet the “troops” that support Obama.
I woke up at midnight, called my good friend who then got on Ventrilo and held down his ‘push-to-talk’ key so I could listen to Gov. Palin’s speech. I now have this thread and the youtube recording of her speech bookmarked. I loved this woman from the first time I read about her back in April. I hope to see her in the White House for many years to come.
