This case needs to be investigated! The people of Cherokee County North Carolina need to write to their congressman and the governor’s office.
Some people have attempted to expose the corruption in Cherokee County North Carolina through an online police forum called leoaffairs.com. What has happen there, the leoaffairs, LLC was threaten with legal action by the sheriff and as a result they have banded many users, plus will not allow any negative speech about the Cherokee County Sheriff’s office. The Sheriff of this county (Keith Lovin) has a God complex and will exericse powers beyond his authority many of times. Many of the search warrants in this county need to be audited and reviewed...hint hint to the authorities. The probable cause to arrive at many if not most warrants here does not exist. No creditability of the informants. First time offenders are regularly used as informants for search warrants.
Minority officers are not accepted here and people that are more than qualified for positions at the sheriff’s offices are bypassed for locals or friends of the sheriff. The sheriff bribes the officer’s loyalty by salaries beyond the norm for the area. The tax payers then must foot the bill for this type of rogue sheriff office. Some of the deputies are fine deputies, but must look the other way in order to keep their jobs.
Someone needs to help the people of this county. A national news organization needs to expose the injustices here before someone is seriously hurt.
