This would mean the Pill is ineffective as well as except as a post-conception abortion tool.
I'm guessing this new information on ovulation and hormones will not be added to any high school sex ed textbooks. Might frighten the poor teens too much.
Only to the window. And if people can decide that throwing a brick or stone through a non-feeling window is worthy of some sort of punishment, then they can also decide to ban smoking in certain areas. If you really don't like this law, work to change it, like many others do on various issues.
Unless, of course, you no longer believe in the current government. In which case, my previous question still stands.
I see your point here. What a mess. Did the owner have signs informing patrons that they would be kicked out of his establishment if they lit up? Or was it something that was just understood?
First, if the government were truly abdicating all enforcement, you would be required under the law to arrest the owner of the establishment. But they aren't asking that.
If you saw a person dressed in black throwing a stone into a Starbucks window, would you be taking over the government's job by sending the police after him or her? If you didn't, you are allowing the crime of vandalism to occur. By allowing the crime to occur, you are advocating the disobedience of the law.
So, you're saying you'd break the law if you didn't agree with it? Isn't that the biggest complaint on FR about the anarchists and environmentalist terrorists?
What do they know that can't be measured by a test?
Some homeschooling families don't learn subjects in the same order that public school children learn them. They'll do a "unit study" and cover a broad range of topics all at once. Some families prefer to go at the child's pace (i.e. don't give them algebra if they don't understand basic math).
If that's the case with this family, the state may jump on a slightly low area and say, "These children need our help!" The children would then be stuck in the public school system wherever the state wanted to put them. Unlike their public school peers who are automatically moved with their class no matter what their grade is.
What will be left are "service jobs". This includes fast food, housekeeping/janitorial, catering, electrical repair, etc. Anything that keeps the houses and parties of those with money going will be the career to get into.
Which is why I've decided to take night classes in hamburger flipping.
