But....it still doesn’t justify observing man made “Religious observances” in lieu of the real thing. You can look from Genesis to Revelation and not find much of what modern day “Churchianity” observes....and believes.

The Holy Spirit chose Greek to protect the scriptures as it is a precise language....difficult to mistranslate.

But.....C’est la Vie!

Why is denomination important to you? Wouldn’t a correct rendering of the Greek just be sufficient to show this common Biblical error of Lent having any truth to it....be enough?

The literal Greek reads the same for Catholics, Baptists, Lutherans and even Satan as well.

Douglas has masterfully rendered the correct translation of most of these “so called” proof scriptures to show they’re just “bunk”.

Correct! Natural Born simply means......"No naturalization need take place....ever".

Natural Born means.....NATURAL BORN (DUH) and needs no Naturalization Law to support it. That's why the 14th amendment has no bearing on this subject and that's why the Presidency is the only Federal Office that makes the distinction......or a citizen "At the time of the adoption of this Constitution... [Article II; Section I]...shall be eligible."

Meaning......you may run for the office if you were previously a British subject......or your parents were.....At the time of the adoption of this Constitution.

But.........after a few years........this became a moot point as all previous American Citizens who had at one time been British subjects....were now dead. At that point Natural Born kicks in.........born of two citizen parents. In addition..........Natural Born has nothing to do with where you were born.....only to whom you were born.

This is why "Obama" was never a Natural Born Citizen. He could have been born on the 4th of July, in the lobby of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, with the Marine Corps band outside on the lawn....playing "God Bless America"......to an American citizen mother. He would still not be a Natural Born Citizen because his father was a British subject....a citizen of Kenya in the British Commonwealth.

He could be a Congressional Representative, Senator, A Governor...even a Supreme Court Justice.....but not a President because of the distinction of that clause...."At the time of the Adoption of this Constitution".

Sorry..........your post is in error. the Constitution can only be changed by Convention....not legislation.

Enacting legislation that changes the Constitution is Unconstitutional. Proposing is not enacting!

Your analysis and reference does not address "Natural" born citizenship.....only citizenship. These are two different things.

This is why the Constitution specifies a different qualification for those seeking the presidency:

Article II; Section I, U.S.Constitution: (Paragraph 5) No person except a natural born Citizen,or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

All other Federal offices did not have this requirement..only the Presidency. That was because the Framers did not want someone whose parents had not been citizens leading this country in a time of war...... particularly against the Nation of whom the parents had been citizens. This would have been a major stumbling block so they wrote into the Constitution that phrase.... knowing that eventually there would be ample candidates whose parents had never been citizens of another Nation.

Many early seekers to the Presidency had at one earlier time been British Subjects, and this phrase allowed them to qualify early on. But eventually..... as time passed.... there were no more folks old enough to at one time have been British subjects.

The Presidency is the only Federal office with this requirement. You can be a Senator, a Representative, a Governor and even a Supreme Court Justice with Parents who had been (or are) foreign Nationals......but not the Presidency.

The Congress does not have the power to change Constitutional law by legislation.....only by convention.

British Caribbean (Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Jamaica, Honduras) was 1,665,000.

Danish Caribbean Leeward Islands) 28,000.

French Caribbean Surinam, Guyana) 1,600,200.

Dutch Caribbean (Aruba and Leeward Islands) 500,000.

Brazil imported a total of 3,646,800 Africans into their country as slaves.

About 6% of the total slavery into the western hemisphere ostensibly ended up in the United States and of course slavery as an institution was still carried on in the eastern hemishere by Africans themselves.....yet when one is reminded of this terrible Scourge on the history of mankind we somehow seem to only be reminded of the evilness of the slave trade in the U.S.A. This also dispells the notion, promulgated by some, that slavery was somehow responsible for the economic success of this nation. When I was a kid they were called "Peace" Officers. It was eventually changed to "Law Enforcement Officers". That's part of the problem that always follows the implementation of a "Nanny" state.
