On another occasion in 1997, the Indiana Pacers were staying at the Swissôtel in Atlanta and one of the players was trying to get two women to go with him to the hotel, Sicignano said. Kaplan took some dancers to the hotel and starting knocking on Pacers' doors, Sicignano testified. They first tried guard Mark Jackson's room, he said. "Mark Jackson said, 'No thank you, I'm a married man. I'm very happily married,' " Sicignano said. "Mark Jackson is known to be a devout Christian." Other players were more willing, Sicignano said. A dancer was left at guard Reggie Miller's ...

Japanese Americans protest new ``Pearl Harbor'' film By Sarah Tippit LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The epic film ``Pearl Harbor,'' opening Friday across the United States, could stir anti-Asian sentiment, a Japanese American rights group warned Monday. The movie about the Dec. 7, 1941 Japanese attack on the U.S. Naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is a ``stark and vivid depiction of ... the worst that can happen in war,'' said Floyd Mori, president of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL), the country's largest Asian American civil rights organization. ``Most Americans have difficulties distinguishing between Asian Americans and Asian nationals'' ...

Let's Freep their Olympic dreams and tell them that their bid is SUNK!! Here is their e-mail address: 2008@beijing-olympic.org.cn If you're interested in their website, the URL is: http://www.beijing-olympic.org.cn/eindex.shtm I wouldn't bother trying to Freep their "Do you support Beijing to host 2008 Olympic Games" poll. It's over 95% FOR and I'm sure they will make sure it stays that way.

Sorry for the vanity, but I have to get this off my chest... I think it's obvious that the Gore team screwed themselves by having the SCOFLA change the election scheme in Florida in an attempt to steal votes away from George W. Bush. They were so afraid that a certification would make the public accept Bush as president, that they had the SCOFLA extend the certification period (arbitrarily) in an attempt to find more votes for Gore using unconstitutional standards. If the Gore team would have allowed Florida SOS Katherine Harris to certify the Florida vote on November 14th, ...

Jesse Jackson is really trying hard to inject himself into the middle of this mess. Poor Jesse has tried and tried to no avail. Now he pulls out the race card. What a disgrace. I'll NEVER refer to him as "Reverend." The reason we have the Constitution and laws is to temper the volatile emotional whims of the masses that are stirred up by people like Jesse Jackson.

U.S. District Court Judge William J. Zloch set sentencing for Aug. 22. In the scheme, telemarketers in the Boca Raton-based office called customers in Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, ...

Assuming all hell breaks loose in Florida and a two-man runoff between Gore and Bush takes place. Who would have the advantage? Any opinions? Can you imagine the voter turnout for such an event? Media coverage would rival the Super Bowl.

Like most people here, I feel great that the Gore presidential campaign is in trouble according to the polls and pundits. I'd like to know the top 5 things *I* can do between now and election day to help Bush in the stretch run. Thanks.

Poll shows Bush favored by Georgia voters With the presidential election now less than six weeks away, George W. Bush holds a substantial lead over Al Gore among Georgia voters. And in the race for the U.S. Senate, Zell Miller is far ahead of his opponent, Mack Mattingly. Those are the findings of an exclusive poll conducted for WSB and the Atlanta Constitution. Our poll suggests that Zell Miller is positioned to win the Senate race without a runoff. And while George W. Bush enjoys a commanding lead in Georgia, that advantage narrows considerably if African Americans turn out ...

Atlanta's Set-Aside Program Is Unconstitutional By Matthew J. Glavin. Mr. Glavin is president of Southeastern Legal Foundation, a public-interest law firm in Atlanta.
