“Reich” (kingdom, realm or state) was applied to the Holy Roman Empire (800-1806). The term was revived in 1871 when 25 German states united to form the German Empire (Deutsches Reich). After the monarchy was overthrown, the Weimar Republic continued to call itself the Deutsches Reich. And after WWII, the East Germans kept the term alive by calling their state railroad the Reichsbahn.

They might recall the story of the Gaza hothouses. During their occupation of Gaza, the Israelis developed a system of hothouses that exported millions of dollars of fruit around the world. When they left Gaza in 2008, they planned to dismantle the hothouses, but philanthropists agreed to purchase them and then hand them over to the Palestinian Authority as a gesture of peace. Former World Bank President James Wolfensohn even put up half a million dollars of his own cash to purchase the hothouses.
However, the moment the Israelis left, mobs of Gazans looted the hothouses, carrying off pumps, hoses tools, and other items as police stood by. In subsequent fighting, the hothouses were completely destroyed.
It’s not the folks in MAGA hats who are shouting “from the river to the sea,” “gas the Jews” and “go back to Auschwitz.” The thugs beating up Jewish students on college campuses and blocking them from getting to classrooms and libraries aren’t wearing MAGA hats.
“We should keep in mind that songs like “Sky Pilot” and “Monterrey” were done by Eric Burdon & The Animals, basically a completely different lineup and style from the original Animals.” Disbanded in 1966 when two left the band. Reformed by Burdon in 68.
I think this is by the new group. It got a lot of airplay on Boss Radio 93 KHJ in the fall of '66.

A “sky pilot” was originally a Navy chaplain—a pilot who would take your soul into the sky (before airplanes were invented). I understand that it now refers to an Air Force chaplain.

Although the company is is based in California, Auntie Anne’s pretzel shops will not be opening any new eateries in the state due to the California’s horrendous business climate. They will be expanding into other states.
