Actually, it WAS a rule we had to vote in our precinct; however, I read this from our Republican Party website today:
Voting in the Collin County March 1, 2016 Primary is easy! Collin County uses Voting Centers, which permit you to vote anywhere they are located in Collin County.
I must say, this was VERY convenient. Hope they make this permanent.
We can vote at any polling place within our county (Collin). Early voting permits polling place choice (which I usually do), but I don’t recall having had that opportunity on election day before.
I waited for 45 minutes before noon in Plano with the line around the building. There was another hour wait and I had an appointment looming so I had to leave. I went to another polling place in Plano at 2:30 (line well into the parking lot, about 75 deep) and was out of there in 20. At the first location they were plucking Dem voters from the line who were out of there in less than 5. Lots of positive energy with nobody complaining about the wait times. Collin county has typically been a conservative area; however, we’ve been infested with a LOT of liberals with more to come. However, I have never seen a turnout like this in the 20+ years I’ve been here. Not even in general election voting pasts.
