Hope I'm doing this correctly...this is the first thread I've started here! I went to the WW II memorial yesterday for the first time.Words can't describe how powerful an experience it was.The weather was poor,so there weren't too many people there,but I was overcome with a sense of awe and gratitude while there. At one point,I saw an older man who looked like he might be a WW II Vet,approached him,and he told me that he was.At that point,I asked if I could shake his hand.
