I don't know what the scope of his duties were at New York Life, but is it possible some conversations/advice, etc. he was involved in that the other participant thought would be privileged communication may now be subject to disclosure? Comments?

I understand your point. I find it interesting that with hundreds of billions more spent on the military, Department of Homeland Security, etc. since 9/11 we appear to still be just one "incident" away from poverty, riots, hunger, etc. Once again, this is not in my local paper or tv news. All that spending, regulations, taxes and government employees, and "homeTOWN security" will still depend on prepared Americans with a little foresight and well stocked pantries!

The Department of Homeland Security and my state emergency management agency recommend a 72 hour emergency kit for most disasters. I gather that this type of emergency may go on quite a bit longer than three days?

Wow?! A foreign government aircraft violates U.S. airspace, and it's no big deal? I am new to Free Republic, and do not live on the southern U.S. border. I have seen several reports concerning border crossings, corruption in Mexico, the cost of illegals, etc. on Free Republic, but nothing on my local tv news or newspaper. This seems like stuff the federal government would be very concerned about. Why so little coverage? I have to believe many citizens would be shocked about these things if they knew. Can someone add a little more information?

A great way to start off this modernization and expansion plan would be to send Boeing an order for a good number of C-17 transports. It would enable the assembly line to stay open longer, as well as give the Canadian military heavy airlift capability they desperately need.
