Heb.6 [1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, [2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. [3] And this will we do, if God permit. [4] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, [5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the...

ANOTHER JESUS John.8:46 Which of you convinceth (can convict) Me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe Me? Whether or not Christianity turns out to be THE ONE TRUE RELIGION depends entirely on the CREDIBILITY of Jesus Christ. There is an immense difference between "believing IN" Jesus and BELIEVING Jesus. A child who is raised in a Christian home is likely to SAY that they "believe IN" Jesus: BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? How did they know that there ever was a Jesus? What do they know ABOUT Jesus? What little children know about...

How the much of the world would make the rules for a fictional “Israel vs. Hezbollah Superbowl”: 1. Since Israel has always won previous match-ups, the opening scoreboard will read HZ: 3294 points and IS: -9 (minus 9) points 2. No coin toss to determine who receives/defends: HZ gets the choice on both. 3. The clock will always be running for IS, Stopped for HZ 4. All penalties will be determined by ticket holders of the game 5. Only HZ supporters will be allowed to attend the game…and to hold tickets 6. HZ is allowed as many receivers as it...

A FReeper running for City Council needs a little "poll" help about a debate. He is already leading, but a few choice votes from other FReepers would solidify the lead. He is the Challenger and the poll is on the right-hand side. This FReeper is very close to me and I know him well...he's a solid conservative.

My wife just came and told me about what happened at my daughter's day-care today. It seems my 4-year-old daughter was pretty pumped about the Mars landing. My wife was telling our daughter all about it. Anyway, at day care today, my daughter drew a picture of Mars and brought it to her teacher. The teacher looked at it and said, "What is it?" Daughter, "It's Mars!" Teacher, "It looks like a desert....you can't see any PEOPLE or BUILDINGS..." Oh boy...time for a new teacher.

My wife thinks I was 'ok', I think I blew it. I attended a totally non-political event this evening. I went looking for Senator Kent Conrad. One of his aides said he was just down the hall...so off I went. Walked all the way down the hall, and then started back. I saw him! I said, "Senator?" He stopped and said, "Yes?" I then went into my introduction....only to have him say, "...I'm Byron Dorgan". Here are photos of the two. Did I screw up that bad?

"Dual Use" Ahhh...we have finally decided to take care of business. They talked about the soldiers "adjusting" to the circumstances...and they have. My guess: Our President has said, "I don't want another Vietnam...." Response: "...Then let us take out the 'dual usage' locations." Mr. Bush: "Take care of it" It's about time!

I have an idea to save money within the City's Budget, and would like to know if anyone out there has heard of it before and if so, how did it work (or not work)...In short it works like this:In each Department, For every dollar they come in under budget, the employees receive 25% of that dollar in a year end bonus.Does this work? Did it work? Is there a similar incentive plan that works?I'm running for city council....so I am looking for good ideas.

Above, I have provided the URL of my website. As far as I know I am the only one of the contenders to actually have a website.I am disappointed in the fact that my existing council member for my ward is someone that I truly like. We think a lot alike, but I believe the entire council has missed some items. I don't have an 'axe-to-grind', so to speak, but I wish that our City (Grand Forks), as well as our State (ND) begin to focus on on the loss of our population.I am looking for an issue that resonates ...

Barbie: Bait or Bane? History: A brief history on Barbie Dolls-(not that it matters at all...) Present: Currently, there are almost as many Barbies in the world as there are fish, according to 'RECKONING Magazine. ' They say, and I quote: "We reckon' there are almost as many Barbies in the world as there are fish, because Scott at invoman.com said there is, we reckon'." I can hear it now. It becomes a chant. There's Hoover Dam ... and now, the Dave Sewage LifterNorth Dakota is calling me. ``Come on up!'' it says. And then it adds: ``Bring thermal underwear!'' This invitation resulted from a column in which I poked fun at North Dakota for wanting to drop the word ``North'' from its name, so that people will stop thinking of it as a cold, frigid, freezing, subzero, arctic, polar, wintry place characterized by low temperatures. My column also made fun of Grand Forks, N.D., and East Grand Forks, Minn., for marketing themselves as ``The Grand Cities'' and proclaiming that they are ``where the ...

http://www.rapidnet.com/~jbeard/bdm/Psychology/rockm/satanic.htm (snip) - It is our conviction that rock music cannot be used to communicate spiritual truth. (Often the melody in the "Christian" version of rock music is obscured and overpowered by the heavy beat -- the accompaniment is so predominant that it completely overpowers any message that might be present.) How can rock music, with its origins in demonic activities, and with its proven adverse medical and "emotional" effects, apply to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ? Convictions must be based on the Word of God and not personal tastes, likes, and dislikes. Since most of religious ...

U.S. House to Vote on Marriage Tax Cut Updated 12:52 AM ET March 29, 2001 By Donna Smith WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives was set to pass a $400 billion tax cut for married couples on Thursday as Republicans sought to build momentum for President Bush's $1.6 trillion tax cut plan. The measure would ease the so-called marriage penalty by raising the standard deduction for married couples, starting next year, to double that of a single person and phasing in an expansion of the 15 percent tax bracket for couples who itemize their returns. The $400 billion, ...

Overflow of support By Deneen Gilmour The Forum - 03/08/2001 The magic number is 11,500. That’s how many people Fargo fire inspectors and the U.S. Secret Service will let into the Bison Sports Arena today for President Bush’s rally. Typically, the North Dakota State University arena holds 7,500 people. However, after thousands of Fargoans made a run Tuesday night on free tickets for the event, organizers began looking for ways to safely squeeze more into the building. “Admission will be a first-come, first served basis,” North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven said at a pre-rally news conference Wednesday in Fargo. Waiting ...
