  • US Finds 'Suspect Vials'(BBC April 2003)

The date of the story is 4 April 2003, 6 days before the 101st was there with their embedded reporter. The point is not the suspected nerve agent, it's that this was a contemporanious report at the time 380 pounds of HMX were allegedly being looted because the site.
To me it certainly looks like the site was being investigated. They found thousand of boxes of suspected nerve agent. Curiously however, they somehow missed 380 tons of HMX. That doesn't pass the smell test in my book.

I guess I should have explained. It was reported on FR that HMX is stored as a white powder. As this article in April 2003 states thousand of boxes of the "White powder" was found at the A Qaqaa site. Further the site was secured and being investigated by Army engineers. In addition it names a Col Peabody as a source for what was found. I assume he would be a lot more accurate than teh NYT

  • More DNC lies. Bush DID serve in the U.S. Air Force

Why then does the fact the "memo's" report that Bush failed to take a flight physical IAW AFM 35-16 have any significance if in fact he was not a member and subject to those regulations? Or Have we discovered proff that the "forger" was equally mistaken and unaware of the difference?

Just a thought but, the dems are now saying Bush lied about being the Air Force. However, one of their prima facia proofs that Bush did not fulfill his TANG obligations is a memo (forged) that orders him to fulfill his flight physical IAW AFM 35-16 (Air Force Manual 35-16).
If in fact then they believed Bush lied stating he was in the Air Force, then to be consistent, the reference to an Air Force Manual being the authority for those orders must be a lie.
Thus they have provided their own proof of the forgery.

  • Deal Hudson Finds Kerry's Views on Abortion and Life "A Little Hard To Believe"

Here is an argument I like to use for those who like to fool themselves into thinking a fetus is not a human life. People like this generally will not respond to any type of religious or moral argument so I leave it at purely secular and logical level.
Indisputable premise. If all women alive as of this date, were to abort all pregnancies for the next 60 years, then the human race will be extinct by 2124.It does not matter if the abortion is conducted 1 sec after conception or 8 month 29 days.
Irrefutable logic. Since it is true for the entire population then it is true for each individual in that population, thus if all human life ends, each individual act ends human life.
While some might argue that this is an argument taken to an absurd conclusion, it does not change the truth of the premise and it belies the sophistry used by the SC to justify their inability to call a fetus human life or an individual deserving of protection by society.

No offense taken. Just commenting on the fact that they don't teach this as the unofficial motto anymore, but in the heart of each and every Coastie this is how they feel. It's a sobering thought. No greater love hath a man than to lay down his life for his fellow man. Whether in times of Peace, saving those in peril at sea, or times of war, fighting for our freedon, these guys lay on it the line. God blees them and keep them safe.

I saw this on the news last night. Although they didn't report that is was a Coastie, I knew that if a boarding was involved in a Port Security Operation it was probably one ours. Hope they change the change the ROE, fire first, ask questions later and keep em safe

I saw this and my reaction was not good. I immediately thought that this is going to blow up the whole problem with the Palestinians. Then I remembered an article posted on the FR that stated that Arafat gave permission for the attack on our diplomatic convoy a couple of month ago. I then realized that the BUSH Doctrine was in full swing. In other words, we gave you a chance to negotiate and you didn't, we gave you a chance to renounce terrorism and you didn't. The message is clear, we will not negotiate with terrorist. Israel can withdraw and the Pali's can have their own state. Then any acts of terrorism are state sponsored, and the War on Terrorism will be against terrorist and any state that sponsors terrorist.

The 911 commission is looking at the problem the wrong way. The problem was not an intelligence failure. It was a failure of enforcement and prevention. Why? Because we had the intellignece. See the full Gore Commission report. They knew about plots to hijack planes. In fact the government knew about hijacking since the 1960's. That is why we have metal detectors, baggage screeners and Air Marshall's. The Gore commission made 18 recommendations to improve security. Including the use of PROFILING. How come they were not implemented? (Could it be the recommendation of the Gore Commission were dropped after some heavy lobbying and substantail campaign contributions?) A single armed air marshall could have stopped this disaster. In fact, if air marshalls were in place it is likely the terrorist would not even attempted to use this method to bring about their destruction. Proof? Unarmed citizens of the US stopped them once they found out what was happening. The reason 911 happened is we, all americans, let our guard down. Thomas Jefferson said "the price of freedom is eternal vigilance". We have become more worried about a 60 billion education department than a 4 billion dollar air marshall program.
