ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue announced today that Georgia has officially joined 19 other states in challenging the federal healthcare reform act when the amended complaint was filed today. The amended complaint now features 20 state plaintiffs and two individual plaintiffs; additionally, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) joined the lawsuit as a co-plaintiff on behalf of its members nationwide. "Congress's healthcare bill will exact a huge cost on our state and curtail our economic growth," said Governor Sonny Perdue. "Congress has gone too far in infringing upon individuals' rights by imposing burdensome regulations on all Americans." [snip]

(Legal Question) If the Supreme Court does hear one or more of the cases against the Health Care bill and finds something unconstitutional will that negate the whole bill or just a specific section? Also considering the reconciliation bill would that be found null and void being it was a sister to the main bill or would sections of the main bill still be held in force along with the reconciliation ?

In general, "media" refers to various means of worldwide communication. The majority of American’s media (news reporting agencies, TV, radio stations, newspapers, magazines, and movies) are owned and operated by very like mined people, socially and politically. They have the monopolized ability to what is and is not seen, hear and reported and are thus very influential in the attitudes and behaviors for social and political change in America to their way of thinking. They control the airwaves and presses and thus control the flow of information they want known and not known. Snip Received December 8th, 2009: VERY QUIETLY...

Vanity, Many of you have some good comments and different perspectives. I would like to get a few of you, if you have time, to leave a comment or two on our blog about Separation of Church and State. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” This is the 1st Amendment from our Constitution and the section of this I wish to...

A case alleging Congress failed in its constitutional duties by refusing to investigate the eligibility of Barack Obama to be president has been sent on appeal to the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. --- Attorney Mario Apuzzo filed the action in January on behalf of Kerchner, Lowell T. Patterson, Darrell James Lenormand and Donald H. Nelson Jr. Named as defendants were Barack Hussein Obama II, the U.S., Congress, the Senate, House of Representatives and former Vice President Dick Cheney along with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. -------------------

President Obama he has paid nearly $1.7 million to his top eligibility lawyer since the election. Obama for America, Obama's 2008 political campaign, merged with the Democratic National Committee in January and is now known as Organizing for America. The grassroots army that some refer to as "Obama 2.0" is still collecting financial contributions. Federal Election Commission records for "Obama for America" show that the lobby organization has paid international law firm Perkins Coie exactly $1,666,397.01 since the 2008 election. --------

In little noticed remarks, Michelle Obama stated at a public event that her husband's mother, Ann Dunham, was "very young and very single" when she gave birth to the future U.S. president. Her comments further undermine the official story as told by Barack Obama – that Dunham was married to his father, Barack Obama Sr., at the time of birth. -------

United We Stand, Divided We Fall! Leaders have known the truth behind this famous quote and motto since the beginning of socialized man. So here are some questions for you. Is the United States united? Have our leaders been uniters or dividers? Are you an American? And lastly are you safer? _________Snip_______ So what is an American? An American is a person with strong moral standards. A person concerned with the safety of the Nation. A person who has rights which were based on Natural Law, which the founding fathers defined as those laws given by God. They can stand...

All right anyone with a stronger understanding of Legal twist and turns I have a question for you. The stimulus has made it through the congress and will be signed by “o” in a day or two (yep it was an emergency rush but just not that urgent I guess). If after “o” signs this it is then law I believe. So lets say something in this bill is “Unconstitutional” or is though to be. Can one a case be made and put this bill on hold by the courts until the case is complete? Also if only one aspect...

Reporting from Sacramento -- That 52-inch, flat-screen television on the family room wall may have a terrific picture, but there's a big drawback: It's an energy hog. State regulators are getting ready to curb the growing power gluttony of TV sets by drafting the nation's first rules requiring retailers to sell only the most energy-efficient models, starting in 2011. ______________________

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - U.S. television news teams that sent election-night viewers to bed without a sure winner in the last two presidential races now face what many political pundits expect to be a swifter outcome next Tuesday. With Barack Obama consistently leading pre-election opinion polls, network news executives are ready for the possibility that the Democratic nominee could emerge early in the evening clearly headed for victory over Republican rival John McCain. If, as widely predicted, Obama captures such critical states as Virginia, Florida, Ohio and Indiana -- where polls close by 8 p.m. Eastern time or earlier --...

Prayer is being forced off campus at the College of Alameda in California. Student Kandy Kyriacou went into an instructor's office to give her a Christmas present last year. The professor told Kyriacou she was not feeling well, and Kyriacou offered to pray for her instructor. The teacher welcomed her student's prayer. Another professor named Derek Piazza, who shared the office, entered and told the student to stop praying. Kyriacou quickly left the office and joined her friend, while Piazza followed them outside to continue his rebuke. Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) further explains the story. "In...
  • Carbon Neutral

Just another reason Carbon Neutral is a farce. The whole global warming concept is that we have damaged our earth to the point we are doomed or almost doomed. Yet Gore and the Green people preach becoming carbon neutral. This does not make sense at all. Gore and the greenes (not to be confused with the treats my dogs love) should be carbon negative. They should be going beyond neutralizing the carbon they are responsible for and ie going beyond neutral to the point they can make a large difference after all we need to reverse the damage done already...
