Tina Fey once said that Sarah Palin could see Russia from her Alaskan kitchen window. Although we know that Sarah never made that claim, I, on the other hand, can actually hear Liz in Wyoming all the way from my kitchen window in New York.
My my, my stars and garters, what have we here? The Body Language Guy would say that's a look of contempt! See how Timmy's mouth goes up on the left side of his face? I heart you too, Timmy!
Rudy WAS pro abortion, including the partial-birth type at that. But I heard him on his radio show the other day proclaim that he had a total change in his thinking, and now he’s pro-life. I was really happy to hear that, praise God!
He did not state any exceptions, such as rape, etc., and I was listening carefully to hear of any.
Sex in marriage has two purposes, namely, procreative and unitive. According to the parents, their son and daughter-in-law’s attitude is that even planning for a baby isn't on the horizon, so it's not as if the kids have been trying without success. They are a microcosm of much of the West, i.e., they want the fun of the unitive without the responsibility of the procreative, unless the two are too busy pursuing their respective careers to make that kind of time with each other in the first place.
Poor mom and dad. I hope they go after these two and their child free lifestyle. Their son is such an ingrate. Hey but Europe and some other places are dying from non-replacement, so what the hell.
If she stood with her whole weight on one foot on a tire inflated to the maximum recommended 35 psi, would that heel puncture it? And if she did this in a forest, would she make a sound?
New York City has never hosted the Olympic Games, not even after 9/11 when they could have really used the tourism. On the other hand, it seems like every 2 years the games are in China. I feel sorry for the athletes, but maybe the USA should just send Lia Thomas and have done with it. (/s)
With all the fires happening in the U.S. western states, I am reminded of a promise that Jesus made to St. Faustina related to the Divine Mercy image. This particular promise is not in her Diary, but rather, in another of her writings. Unfortunately, I can’t recall where.
I’m paraphrasing here: if someone places the Divine Mercy image on a wall, with trust in His Mercy, that building will never be destroyed by fire. Jesus kept His promise in my regard and saved my house several years ago.
I’m hoping that if someone out West has property that’s threatened by these fires, that they might come by and see this, and take Jesus at His word.
May the Divine Mercy protect us all. Jesus I trust in You.
P.S.: IIRC, Jesus did not specify that the person had to be Catholic, or of any other Christian communion.
