A few minutes ago I just watched the PBS Frontline program titled "The Camps". PBS may be the only format for airing this documentery of the holocast. This episode of Frontline is a must see and in my opinion ranks with the most important video media of all time- lest we forget. Until the case is made to completely privitize PBS a hard look to correct the generally left tilt by the new director is a welcome developement.

Care to brainstorm this idea? I haven't seen it discussed anywhere. Really the entire Geat Basin needs water; an obvious given to most. Start with the fact that part of Death Valley is 282 Below sea level. Consider that the embattled Yucca Mountain only about 80 miles away could be national resource: a catalyst. Harness the nuclear waste depository to desalinize and pump water on a massive scale. What about the source of water? Well the Pacific Ocean is only about 300 miles away upstream. The alaska pipeline was built 30 years ago and its holding up well. We could make a new river. My pet name for it would be the Aquifer River because once filtered the fresh water could be pumped to top off Lake Powell and Lake Mead allowing the Colorado River to run full blast and also pumped down into the aquifer to recharge for all the Great Basin's benefit. Comments?

Is there a broader list? I scanned the other breakdown list you referred to. I'm dismayed Hugh Hewitt hasn't cracked these as relentless as he is. Also how about Larry Elders and 790 KABC local Doug McIntyre?

Cheers HUGH and PROST to many more!
So many of your fave songs are near and dear to me too. Esp Diamonds and Rust (Joan Baez' personal tribute to Bob Dylan, I believe) and Landslide.
PS that was a 'great' bone you threw to us freepers: Dylan's Neigborhood Bully.

Hugh stressed this on his show today. By the way there was a lenghty thread of Dylan"s song "Neighborhood Bully" on FR over the weekend. That came to mind when Hugh played the whole song near the end of his show. Sure enough the sidekick remarked that he threw "a bone to the freepers". :)
