Inventory is increasing but a long way from pre panic levels. Plus, they don't seem to be interested in negotiating price. Before, I'd contact (via email) a half dozen dealers with my criteria, they'd respond with a price, and I'd go to the lowest offer and negotiate from there. No more, it seems. No trades. No financing. Cash only. What's the FR braintrust think about how to approach new vehicle purchase these days?

These are large patches on rural property. I've narrowed it down to two methods. One is to use a burner which will cost me ~$100. The other is to use a backhoe which will cost me ~$35,000. Suggestions? This is very rural property with very large patches of blackberries.

Mine is a Sony Bravia. When it turns on, it's got programmed advertisements for the "cause-du-jour" at the top of the screen. Currently, since this is black month, there's a picture of a domestic terrorist named angela davis in the 60s, running her mouth. And it's A. Big. Mouth. I want a smart tv that doesn't have all that nonsense and propaganda on the opening screen. It's bad enough that Amazon Prime constantly pimps those liberal causes (black month; homo pride; etc), but I'd like to not have it on the opening screen.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — An Oklahoma State Senator has proposed a bill that would phase out the use of federal funding for public education. Senate Bill 863, written by Republican David Bullard, would create a timeline that would gradually end the use of federal funding for students in pre-kindergarten though twelfth grade. The ten-year plan would also include “a projected need for state funds to replace the federal funds.” If Senate Bill 863 is passed and approved, it would immediately take effect. The next legislative session begins Feb. 6.

People with catholic charities said this program aims to expand refugee settlement capacity, which Cecilia Lun-Ngaihte said is vital to rebuilding their lives. “We fled from our country like in 2007," Lun-Ngaihte said. Lun-Ngaihte is a refugee from Burma. She's among the thousands of refugees who have been forced to flee their country of origin. “Religious persecution, that’s why we fled from our country," Lun-Ngaihte said. TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — An Oklahoma state lawmaker filed two bills in one week with opposing goals. One bill filed by State Rep. Jim Olsen (R-District 2) would lower the age for buying and carrying guns to 18. The other would raise the age for receiving gender-affirming care to 21. Rep. Olsen told NewsChannel 8 he’s a Constitutionalist. He claimed the Founding Fathers would want 18-year-olds to carry guns, but they wouldn’t feel the same about helping people change their biological sex. “You have, in the Constitution, specifically enumerated, your right to keep and bear arms,” he explained. “If you...

SAN DIEGO (AP) — U.S. authorities stopped migrants more than 230,000 times on the Mexican border in October, the third-highest month of Joe Biden's presidency amid growing numbers from Cuba, Nicaragua, Colombia and other countries. Fewer Venezuelans came after the Biden administration introduced new asylum restrictions on Oct. 12, but increasing arrivals from other countries more than offset that decline, according to figures released late Monday. Authorities stopped migrants 230,678 times last month, up 1.4% from 227,547 in September and the highest since May, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said. Cubans replaced Venezuelans as the second-largest nationality after Mexicans, extending...

It's for an uninsulated hunting cabin with a hot water heater, indoor plumbing, etc. I was thinking one for the kitchen and one for the hot water heater. But I'm getting the impression they all shut off after a few hours. I need them to stay on all the time during extreme cold. To backup the propane heaters. thanx

Chuck Waite and Ragnar Crowson are hobbyist blacksmiths who typically create small items like decorative crosses or bottle openers, but they’re about to embark on a bigger task: transforming guns to garden tools. Hearing about the growing movement in other cities, forging guns to garden tools is something Tulsa Metropolitan Ministries has wanted to pursue for quite some time. They called on Tulsa City Councilor Crista Patrick to help, because Crowson is Patrick’s husband. They all agreed 2022 was the year to make it happen. “After this summer, some of the tragedies we’ve had in our city, we decided it...

My USAA credit card was hacked. The only out-of-the-ordinary purchase was to a specialty holster manufacturer in Alaska. The company has a solid reputation and my new chest carry/large revolver holster is top notch, but maybe their CC processing company got hacked. That's happened to me once before with a fly fishing guide company in Vail, CO. Note: I never use the card for everyday purchases. Whenever I eat out, for example, I always pay cash. Etc. I'd like a card that requires me to reload it and it will have credit limit only of whatever I put in it.

As the world mourns Queen Elizabeth II, British citizens living in Tulsa are sharing their stories of growing up in the United Kingdom. 2 News Oklahoma spoke to one man who moved to the Sooner State just a few years ago. I have a DVD that was made on Mac equipment. It will not play on my PC w/Win 10. The gentleman who recorded it said to download MP4 converter to my computer. I did so. (VLC) I inserted the disc and got to where I selected the option for disc type. "DVD." No dice. I selected the other type that I think is the abbreviation for the Mac type? Anyway. The DVD is not playing with MP4 "converter" or the "player." Very hinky. What am I doing wrong?

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Frustrated that his congregation didn't buy him a luxury watch, a pastor in Missouri called them "poor, broke, busted and disgusted" during a recent sermon. According to The Washington Post and NBC News, a video clip of the Aug. 7 sermon posted on TikTok showed Rev. Carlton Funderburke of the Church at the Well in Kansas City telling his congregation he was upset they weren't "honoring" him with a Movado watch. “That’s how I know you still poor, broke, busted and disgusted, because of how you been honoring me,” Funderburke said in the video, according to...

An acquaintance recorded an event on a dvd with Macintosh equipment. The dvd plays fine on his mac computer. He gave me a copy but the dvd will not play on my PC (Windows 10) computer. All I'm getting is, "files ready to be written to the disc (1)" and underneath that is the line: "desktop 8-7-22 5.0 configrua 1kb" I click on the second line, "desktop, etc", and get an image of a notepad with a downward arrow then, "[.ShellClassInfo] localized resource name system root, etc. .dll" Will a dvd recorded on mac equipment not play on a PC?...
