    Mother In Law | December 11, 2004 | Me
Okay, what would you do? A friend just showed up at our house because her monther-in-law is at her house. She does not want to go home as long as her in-laws are there. She simply will not be in the same house with her in-laws, even if it is her own house. But now she is in our house. What to do? I don't think I've ever seen a situation like this. It is not a case of her in-laws having done anything to her. She just does not like them. What to do?

The Scourge of Outsourcing There is no more a clear cut case of John Kerry's contradictions between his campaign utterances and his record as a U.S. senator than his pronouncements on outsourcing. Since August, GoGov.com has detailed Kerry's deep involvement in outsourcing of U.S. jobs to China through his association with Paul Marcus and Boston Capital & Technology. This story (detailed here) is one of direct involvement by Kerry in the set up of U.S. manufacturing in and the export of U.S. jobs to China. Many supporters of Kerry have been taken in by the deception of Kerry's words on...

The Information Clearing House, a website claiming to give you news you will not find on CNN or FOX has served up a picture of the now famous fall of the statue of Saddam in a Baghdad square. It claims the scene was staged, a fabrication by the U.S. military. It asks, if this was spontaneous and real, why were there no large crowds like were seen at the fall of the Berlin wall? It then goes about the detailing of a photograph of the event. For its efforts, the Information Clearing House has done nothing more than to create...

Surely it has been the same today across the country as the USA turns out to support our troops. The Torrance rally was very, very successful. Others will likely report on today's rally but I wanted to put up a few pics to add our voices now to those of you in other parts of the country that also got out in a show of support for our troops. For the record, I counted 600 plus. For our little neighborhood in the greater Los Angeles area assembled at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Crenshaw Blvd., we think that's...

An owner of the hotel in NY was said to be refusing to refund a weddeing deposit of a soldier that was shipped off to the Gulf and could not keep the reservation. I just call the hotel and the owener says he is refunding the money. It was a $5,000 deposit. I'm posting this as a seperate thread because it may get missed, buried in the other thread reporting that the owner was not going to refund the deposit. Whatever the circumstances, the owner has done the right thing in returning the deposit.

Responsible heads in the U.S. government counter-terrorism unit must have been pulling their hair out during the Clinton years as they watched the Clinton administration pass not once but twice on offers by the Sudanese government to turn over Osama Bin Laden. One begins to appreciate their frustration when we now learn that recently captured and suspected terror mastermind, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed could also have been nabbed but was let go in 1996 by the Clinton Administration. In a story released by Terry McDermott, we learn that in the early 1990's Khalid Mohammed lived openly in the Gulf, not even...

eBay Auction Fraud Spawns Vigilantism Trend By Ina Steiner October 12, 2002Vigilante: One who takes or advocates the taking of law enforcement into one's own hands A new trend has emerged in online auctions: vigilantism. People are banding together to report auction fraud and are coordinating their efforts in contacting law enforcement officials. Our story begins with Mark, the high bidder on an auction for a Toshiba Protege 2000 laptop computer on eBay. On August 10, 2002, Mark says he sent a cashier's check for $1,485 to eBay seller Tech-Surplus. By September 1, after corresponding with the seller several times,...

Here is an obvious one. Unless of course you are Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, Tom Brokaw, et al and believe the media is not biased.Does the media hold Republicans to a higher moral standard that it does the Democrats? - Yes. Recent controversy over Lott’s comments makes that clear. Dems have said far worse and it was “apology accepted.” 30% - No. The media is fair in its coverage. Republicans just don’t like it when they are taken to task. 70% Poll Link Here

China enjoyed a strong balance of international payments in the first half of this year, with the current account and the capital and financial accounts maintaining surpluses and its foreign exchange reserves building up steadily. Driven by a strong foreign trade surplus, China's current account surplus reached US$13.6 billion during the period, much higher than the surplus of US$5.1 billion for the same period last year, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange said in a report Thursday. During this period, China's exports grew a year-on-year 15 per cent to US$143.3 billion and imports grew 10 per cent to US$122.6 billion,...
