Syndicated columnist Juan Williams (Fox News Sunday regular), in response to a caller this morning, said he had no idea who the Bilderberg Group was, and had in fact never even heard of them. Are all leftists so uninformed? Are even the 'professional(?)' opinion-givers so terribly clueless? Thought others might like to know of this.

A caller to C-SPAN this morning, who claimed to be a former aide to Gore Senior, related how Gore Junior told his dad he was going to Canada, to avoid being drafted. Gore Senior said that that would jeopardize Junior's political viability, and Senior would set up something for Junior where he could join the Army but "stay out of the action." Caller did not further identify himself, but sounded sincere, and old enough to have been on Senior's staff.

This morning on Washington Journal, Brian Lamb showed a short paragraph that appeared in a newspaper (sorry, didn't catch the name) today mentioning that the 'toon had a meeting with moneyman Mochtar Riady during his recent trip to Australia. It makes the statement that a spokesman said that nothing of a "sensitive" nature was discussed. (WJ is replayed in some areas -- this occurred at about the 30-minute mark of the show.)

On his show this morning, Steve Malzberg reported that he has learned 'from a very reliable source' that the 'rats are waiting for Dubya to get the official nomination, then come forth with a woman who claims she and Dubya 'did it' while he was married. For those of you unfamiliar with Malzberg, he is not a gossip-monger, and is not anti-Dubya -- I don't think he would have said this if he were not really convinced of its truth.
