Representing your constituents instead of corporate lobbyists and career politicians is now called cowardice. Well we will see more cowards in office then once those brave souls are voted out.

I would also like to know who the Senator who cried to the Hispanic group in Maryland was. He truly is a coward.

My first house payment was about 800 bucks a month, of course add insurance, taxes, PMI, and the general cost of upkeep on a house and the cost is considerably higher. There is more to owning a house than just being able to pay the mortgage. Most calculators at mortgage websites or real estate web sites give you the total of the mortgage payment without adding the cost of insurance and taxes. That can be 500 or more added to the monthly mortgage. If the buyer is unaware of these extra costs until signing they be to ashamed or scared to back out.

Its their responsibility to be informed but if you get a poor real estate agent or a greedy one, along with the dream of owning your home can make for a disaster. Throw in a couple of problems like A/C failure or roof leak and your screwed if your in over your head.

Most Mexicans are Brown and generally not liked by Americans so racism is a reality.

Is it the brown color that Americans don't like or is it the different language or is it the fact that too many don't care to learn the language and many think this is their land not Americans? Just because some people don't like Mexicans doesn't mean that in any way defines the issue for the majority. I think many browns from Mexico illegally don't like whites, or blacks for that matter.

The problem with people like you is that you are using the same argument for illegals that liberals have used against Conservatives for years and that is the race card. We have fought that kind of attack for 40 years and I will be damned if I would let supposedly one of my own use it on me.

If 12 million Mexicans came to the U.S., learned the language, learned Americans history and culture like others must, learn the Presidents and important American holidays, renounced allegiance to Mexico and swore allegiance to the U.S. are you saying Conservatives and Republicans wouldn't welcome them with open arms because they have brown skin? Is that what you are saying?

It’s an effort to show the rest of the country how 37 million Americans live their lives in poverty every single day,” an Edwards aide said. “It’s not only their workplaces -- it’s their homes and the places they get health care.”

To be honest thats not too bad. 12% of the U.S. population lives in or around what we consider poverty. Not Sudan poverty or even Mexican poverty but American style poverty. In a nation this big you will always have some poor. These numbers mean 88% of Americans or roughly 263 million are either rich or middle class.

His statement is partially true. Racism in the form of Hispanics coming to the aid of illegals based on their being mostly Mexican with Spanish surnames. If the illegals were Polish I doubt Mr. Morales or Geraldo would have been so keen on letting 12-20 million stay while keeping the door open for more to come.

Since Hispanics are not really a race, Geraldo and Sammy Sosa are not the same race, Morales should have framed his argument as a bias against Mexicans.

Why does Zoolander come to mind? Anyone see that movie?

Zoolander (Ben Stiller) male model leaves to get in touch with his roots (brother, Vince Vaughn, dad, Jon Voight) coal miners from W. Virginia. Zoolander puts in one day at the mine and complains of black lung at the bar after the workday.

A commercial with him dressed as a mermaid, selling male body moisturizer comes on the TV in the bar causing Voight to tell him "What the hell is that? walking around in your underwear with your wiener hangin out, dressed like a mermaid? Your dead to me son."

Zoolander cries "Merman dad! Merman!" and runs out the door.

Hey that sounds like a good enough reason to throw law enforcement officers into general population of a federal prison for 11 years!

Many police officers have shot unarmed men and are given the benefit of the doubt because of the nature of their jobs. Ramos and Campeon said they thought the guy had a gun, maybe they reacted to harshly but I was not there and would have to take the word of the agents. The agents policed up the casings which is illegal, but I remember the Feds completely destroyed the crime scene at Waco before the Texas Rangers or arson investigators could even investigate the crime scene. Of course that was gov't covering up its own crimes, which seems to be ok these days.

The sentence of 11 years is so far out of line for injuring a fleeing suspect by a law enforcement officer this can only be an intimidation sentence aimed at keeping other agents from enforcing the law down there.

The punishment does not fit the crime for first offenders. A man could stab his wife 40 times in a fit of rage over an affair and not receive 11 years.

Libby did also commit a crime. He lied under oath to a grand jury. Now while I know he was set up as a fall guy so Fitzfong could be a big shot, to commute his sentence shows mercy and compassion for a good man on the part of Bush. Now he should show the same mercy for two good men who made a mistake. He should not hold the lives of these men so cheaply when he has the power to save them.

True. I went into Chilis and the hostess had a nose ring which I could stomach but she had a stud in her upper lip. It was unpleasant to look at to say the least and all I could think was that the manager was too scared to tell her to take it out or go home. Much of the problem comes from political correctness. Managers afraid to tell service people to get a haircut and put a damn smile on their face.

It is a day to ask how good a job — from the world’s perspective — we are doing living up to the principles enunciated in the Declaration of Independence

Many days I wonder if we are living up to those principals myself. Then I read this and realize we must be doing much better than I thought!

    Happy Independence Day All!

Who could Bush and Cheney be protecting and from what? Fitzfong knew Armitage had leaked the name of the CIA desk jockey who got her husband the job discrediting the war. The investigation was simply a fishing expedition to get someone to misspeak during testimony so there could be a conviction to justify the investigation in the first place.

No Hillary you lying phony. The difference is that Libby is a nobody who was railroaded and set up. You and your husband pardoned Puerto Rican terrorists to help you in your Senate election and Marc Rich, the white collar scam artist who was on the lamb, was pardoned because his wife gave you $400,000 clams for you museum in Little Rock.

Ha ha! Libby didn't remember a who he had spoken with years ago. There was no crime and if there was, the actual perp, Armitage, wasn't prosecuted. Libby was the fall guy.

Clinton pointed his finger in the camera and shook it and bald faced lied to the grand jury and he knew it. He is now a millionaire and faced no time at all.

Come on man, that doesn’t even make sense. Britain is our strongest Ally and that is why they were attacked. It is also in the terrorist playbook to stage an attack right after a new leader is sworn in, plus Rushdie being knighted probably pissed them off more than the exposed ankles of their sister.
