As a school librarian and a proud American, I am outraged at the decision of the American Library Association (ALA) to invite the government-approved "librarians" of Cuba to address the ALA Convention, held in Toronto in conjunction with the Canadian Library Association, later this month. This is a slap in the face of the independent librarians of Cuba, who have been thrown into prison! It is a disgraceful action on the part of the ALA and is spearheaded by Marxists in the leadership of the ALA! I received a "resume" of George Bush, forwarded by a leftist acquaintance of mine. It was written by someone named Kelley Kramer, and I guess it's making the rounds. It's so distorted, it's amusing, but, I suppose, it could be plausible to the gullible. Who is this Kelley Kramer, and what are his affiliations? Thanks.
Thank you for articulating my thoughts before I had a chance to post. It is infuriating that there is no mention - or, at best, a token acknowledgment by these Arabists- that perhaps suicide bombings of innocent civilians in Israel and the World Trade Center destruction were wrong before the familiar tirade against Israel begins. And all the so-called Arab moderates want the U.S. to do is to "pressure" Israel!
