I think that is what Kerry claimed to have done when he threw his medals onto the capital steps. He claimed he kept his originals and still has them.

Who knows????? I would ask my dad but he just passed away last month. He was a WWII veteran and I took him to the D-Day Memorial Services in Bedford, VA, on the day it was opened. President Bush laid a wreath and gave a speech. I really did not know exactly what D-Day was all about. The U.S. alone lost 9,000 men that day on the (I think) 5 different beaches that were invaded. Amazing to think of losing that many men in one day of battle. Sorry, got carried away thinking of my father. I miss him terribly.

Does anyone know where we can volunteer our time on line. I think that those of us on line that live way to far from our borders should volunteer to help with the cameras. I'm a late-night person so I would really love to watch the cameras along BOTH our borders.

I know it was the Texas governor that brought this up first and is going to set it up; however, where does one go to volunteer. I wish I could help more but due to my age and health, on line would be the best I could do to help.

I have noticed that since the immigration bill has been discussed over and over that for some reason in my area of Virginia suddenly our satellite service now offers over 100 spanish-speaking channels. We now have a local news network who offers a special weekend show for the Latin Community. Then the other day, I was on our local a.m. and found several spanish-speaking stations.

Where the Hell were all these things a year ago? Why suddenly the unbelievable upgrade in Latin and Spanish-Speaking shows, radio shows, and community specials? Is there an invasion coming or what?

If they continue with this, I'm afraid there is going to be some real ugly things happening to the migrant worker community around these parts. I do not think anyone should break the law; however, it has built up a little resentment (so far a little) in me, so I know others must be feeling the same.

I got up close and personal enough at Sea World in Florida about 20 years ago.

You can feed the seals or the dolphins but then had to pay $.75 per fish. Since the seals had a sign up stating "Caution, Seals may bite you," I decided to feed a couple dolphins.

I got the fish and saw a dolphin on the other side that I was trying to temp with my fish. Before I knew it, up right in my face another dolphin came up and grabbed the fish. That dolphin wasn't two feet from me face to face. It freaked me out. Seriously! It was the weirdest looking creature I have ever looked at (up close). In a distance, they are beautiful, but get one face-to-face up close and it looks like something from Close Encounters!

I have one question for bkepley . . . are you a member of that "Match Dot Com?" The reason I ask, I read somewhere a year or so ago that either that online dating service or the other big one were supplying dates to people whose contracts were about to run out. Suddenly, folks would get a call from the dating service with a "perfect" match. Well, the person would go out on a date with this so-called "perfect" match (which usually was considered above their expectations), and to legally continue to do so would have to renew there contracts for a certain amount of time.

I remember there was some kind of investigation regarding this dating service and how so many people who were about to end their contracts would suddenly have that perfect match and then paid big bucks to renew and/or continue their contract.

Sorry so long but when you mentioned the company, that story came to my mind.

I'm surprised they didn't get the death penalty. I saw a documentary on some channel (maybe discover) and they talked to Gay Muslims as well as Gay Jews. Both believe that they WILL go to HELL no matter what they do now, but they continue to live that lifestyle knowing that for eternity they will be in Hell. Mind boggling????

I look at John Paul II as a martyr because remember he was in the hospital and they would bring him back to his apartment in the Vatican? When he, himself, realized these were his end days, he would take no drugs to ease his pain. He felt that at the end of his life he should suffer as much as possible like he felt Christ did. He was in terrible, agonizing pain. He suffered horribly before death finally took him (it was reported).

They sure were not outraged right after 3,000+ Americans were murdered on 9/11/01. In fact, their silence was deafening.

I'm like neverdem. Except my list came after graduation and college and when I started working with adults. I never had any problems in high school. It was real life in that dog-eat-dog world that got to me.

However, I had to let it go because as long as I had those feelings toward those people, they had power over me and my emotions. They were controlling my life, and that was one thing they were not going to do. It took me about two years, but it was like a huge weight had been lifted when I finally decided to let it go.

I know that when I leave this Earth, I haven't screwed someone in the back for a promotion, or lied about somebody to try to get them fired. Those two were minor issues. The bigger ones are to, too much to talk about, but I know I will leave this Earth with a clear conscience.

Exactly! The Saudis need to support their welfare group known as Palestinians. The other "Arabs" do look down on the Palestinians. They consider them gypsies in a way. Because they have never done any work for anything. They seem to think that by killing theirselves and other innocent people, that their death will bring them a better life there. I think if they had showed pictures, had sounds, or video; however, talking about how it changed the whole world and how we now live, I don't see exploitation in that. That is exactly what President Bush has always said.
