NEW YORK — Today more Americans disapprove than approve of the job performances of President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney (search) and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld (search), according to a new FOX News poll. In addition, as many people think radical Muslims are "deeply committed to winning" in the war on terrorism as think the United States is.

WASHINGTON - It has been weeks since Hurricane Katrina slammed into the Gulf Coast; since gas prices began spiking to record highs; and since Cindy Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq, held her antiwar vigil outside President Bush’s Texas ranch. But, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, the fortunes of the Bush administration and the Republican Party have not yet begun to recover. For the first time in the poll, Bush’s approval rating has sunk below 40 percent, while the percentage believing the country is heading in the right direction has dipped below 30 percent. In...

Cancer patient Earl Robicheaux, his immune system depleted by radical chemotherapy, lay in a hospital bed as Hurricane Katrina bore down on New Orleans. Trying to leave, he thought, seemed suicidal. But after four days in the hospital's reeking darkness, he escaped via a Black Hawk helicopter that landed on the roof of the University Hospital under heavy guard because of the threat of sniper fire. It was not the evacuation plan authorities had envisioned for its sick, its elderly and its poor. As the floodwaters recede, serious questions remain about whether New Orleans and Louisiana officials followed their own...

  • Stuart Taylor against Ashcroft....disappointing

This is really disappointing... I really looked with favor upon Stuart Taylor because of his views on Bill Clinton and the voting in Florida. He slammed Ashcroft every chance he got.

  • New Counts

If the Supreme Court rules in favor of continuing to count, which I certainly hope it does not, but it applies an equal standard to all the counties, wouldn't that favor Bush? Let's just say they use the standard where light must at least pass through the chad. This should be a gain for Bush. They would have to recount Dade and Broward, where Gore picked up the majority of votes. If they use the standard which Palm Beach used, I believe this would also be in our favor. What do you guys think?
