  • Beware of Stevens & Ginzberg Retiring after 1/5/2001

BewareDuring the period of time of 1/5/2001 thru 1/20/2001 the President will be Bill Clinton and the Senate will have a 51-50 margin with Gore casting the vote in ties. Watch for Stevens & Ginzberg to resign to allow Clinton to pick their replacement with a Senatorial confirmation possible. Stevens is 80 and Ginzberg has colon cancer (I believe). This could be the last gasp for the liberals.

  • Why Not Throw Out All Dade Countly Votes (like Seminole)

If the appropriate remedy in Seminole and Martin Counties is to "disenfranchise" 25,000 voters to be sure we get the 1,800 (or whatever) voters that unbeknownst to them were aided by someone inserting their Voter ID on the outside of the envelope of the application not the ballot (i.e. Election Supervisor error for allowing it, not error or crime of the voter) Wouldn't the appropriate remedy for the hundreds of actual ballots defrauded in Dade County by felons be to disqualify all the votes in Dade County? This seems even fairer than the Seminole proposed remedy since there was error ...
  • Freep The Florida Supreme Court over Boise Lies, E-mail Address Attached

E-Mail Sourced From Fla. Supreme Court Website | 11/30/2000 | scannell
I sent this e-mail to the Florida Supreme Court: Freep these guys: supremecourt@flcourts.org Dear Honorable Justices of the Florida Supreme Court. It is time to call Gore attorney Mr. Boies to task for presenting a false affidavit and proffering misleading conclusions of the Illinois case of Pullen vs. Mulligan. The Affiant has already repudiated the claims of the document and if your clerks had read the case you cited in your increasingly infamous decision overturning the decision of the Florida Secretary of State, you would have known that the true conclusions of that case was to disallow dimpled ballots when ...
  • Why Not Throw Out All Palm Beach Votes, Like they want in Seminole County

Given the sentiment to throw out the Baby with the Bathwater in Seminole County, that is, throw out 15,000 votes because the officials accepted absentee ballot requests from "faulty computer programs" due to errors of the officials, i.e. no Fault of the Voter. It would seem to me that it would be consistent to ask for the same remedy in Palm Beach County where the "officials" prepared (according to the Democrats) a faulty ballot that they also say is against the law. They should (if they want to be consistent) demand that they throw out the entire Palm Beach County ...

FACSIMILE TRANSMISSION: Date: November 26, 2000 To: Katherine Harris Of: Florida Secretary of State Fax: 850-487-2214 From: scannell URGENT ! URGENT ! URGENT ! Dear Ms. Harris. Regarding Palm Beach Counties request to defer the deadline until 9 AM Monday. You do not have that authority. That option was foreclosed when you opened the office on Sunday. The Supreme Court order said they were due by 5 PM Sunday ‘UNLESS YOU WERE CLOSED OVER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND” which would extend the deadline until 9 AM Monday. You opened Sunday and the second option is foreclosed. Thank You,

  • Gore Leads in New Mexico By . . . . .

    Reuters | 11/17/2000
Gore Leads In New Mexico By 449 November 17, 2000 ALBUQUERQUE (Reuters) - Democrat Al Gore led by 449 votes in still-undecided New Mexico on Friday as all but one of 33 counties reported official election results, according to a Reuters survey of the individual counties. That lead includes unofficial numbers from the state's biggest county, Bernalillo, which includes Albuquerque and is home to about one-third of the state's voters. Bernalillo County was due to certify official results later on Friday. The state's Republican chairman said his party's own canvassing had found nothing yet to cancel Gore's lead over Texas ...
  • Bush's Case With The Supreme Court

Bush's Case With U.S. Supreme Court Article II of the U.S. Constitution represents the "legal basis" for one of the cases presented to the US Supreme Court by lawyers for George W. Bush in contesting the ruling of the Florida Supreme Court on the includability of the "hand re-count" of ballots. You are aware that the Florida Supreme Court (7 Democrats) ruled Tuesday night that the Secretary of State of Florida (Katherine Harris-Republican) exceeded her authority, even though the Judge Lewis (State Circuit Court) who is a Democrat ruled that she had not exceeded her authority and that she had ...
  • Allowing Overseas Absentee Military Ballots

    11/22/2000 10:08:59 AM PST · by scannell · 50+ views
The media continues to reference the dispute in Florida over the “Military Vote” as being over “legally cast” votes. They reference the Florida Revised Code as stating that the ballots must be executed AND postmarked before November 7. It came to light over the week-end that there is a Florida Administrative Code Section 15-201 3(7) which states that military ballots must be either postmarked OR executed by election day. I also understand that this was to bring the requirements into line with Federal Law that allows military to vote effective on “execution” (signature) date. Federal law always trumps State law. ...

Let the Counties Canvassing Board hand carry the re-count totals to Tallahassee. SOS FAX Number 850-487-2214 (Make Sure your Complaing is long and rambling) I don't know if they have other fax lines, if so please list so all Freepers can lodge their complaint on Sunday. • Personal Liability of Supervisors of Elections

Hersey Supervisor of Elections Putnam County Post Office Box 977 Palatka, Florida 32078-0977 Dear Mr. Hersey: You have asked for my opinion on the following question: What is the personal liability of a supervisor of elections for the conduct of his or her deputy supervisor of elections or volunteer deputy voter registrars appointed pursuant to s. 98.271, F.S.? In sum: Pursuant to Title 42 U.S.C. s. 1983, a supervisor of elections may not ...
  • Lieberman Declines Vice Presidency

    11/14/2000 3:58:00 PM PST · by scannell · 10+ views
Don't look for Lieberman to accept the Vice Presidency if Gore wins the requisite electors in the national race. The pressure will be tremendous for him to yield the office in favor of his recent sucessful election to the Senate from Conneticut so that the Senate wouldn't be surrendered to the Republicans. I know it would be difficult to pass on the Big House and skip all those funerals, but the difference is the capacity of the Gore Admistration (dare I say) to obtain a legislative voice. REMEMBER where you first heard this. I have been quite surprised that the ...
  • Election Results

ADDITIONAL PROOF: I have mathematically calculated that Buchannan could not have received votes for Gore. If he had, all things being equal, you could expect the Democratic Senatorial Candidate (Nelson) to have that many more votes than Gore plus the latent Democratic vote in Nader's vote. That means that Nelsons vote total should exceed Gore's by 3,407 (Buchannan vote) plus some fraction of the 5,564 votes that went to Nader. Exit polls suggest 56% latent Democratic vote (i.e. 3,116) If you add the two together you would expect Nelson to have 6,523 more than Gore. He actually only had 890 ...
