I did a quick check of the 2000 vs 2004 vs. 2008 popular vote numbers. 2000 = 101,456,000 votes - Gore 51,000,000 - Bush 50,456,000 2004 = 121,068,000 votes - Bush 62,040,000 - Kerry 59,028,000 2008 = 118,226,000 votes - BOH 62,683,000 - JMC 55,543,000 The post election analysis is going to be interesting. I heard it reported last night that the youth vote did not materialize yet again.

KXNT is the local Las Vegas AM station that has Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin ..etc. Up to the Nevada primary, which was January 15, Paul ran several different message radio spots on KXNT on a regular basis. Today, while listening to Rush, I again heard a Ron Paul radio spot. This one was the "Introduction to Ron Paul" type of spot compared to the specific issue, such as, "Tips should be tax free", which was run ad nauseum out here. Is this just campaign incompetence? Surely, that money should be used in the other upcoming primaries. Is he continuing because he...

Today's edition of the Review Journal says "Poll says Bush has Big Lead". This is the Mason Dickson poll from yesterday. That's great to read but long ago, I promised myself that I will get involved in the Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaign here in Las Vegas. I have memories seared in my brain from Election 2000, when I lived in Boca Raton, Florida - Ground Zero. I've told countless people since then how I observed the evil, criminal corrupt Democrat Party attempt a coup during those 36 days. They are trying the same thing again here in Nevada....

At the opening night showing of "Fahrenheit 9/11" at Neonopolis on June 25, one man walked out of the Crown Theater as the screen displayed vivid images of maimed and dead Iraqi citizens. "You people will sit through anything," he shouted to the crowd in the darkened theater before calling the movie the most "intellectually dishonest" two hours of his life. When the 1:55 p.m. showing of the R-rated movie ended at the Regal Cinema Theater the next day, the audience got to their feet and applauded. A girl in her early teens yelled, "I love liberals ...snip... "I was...

Just heard & felt a huge noise here in Las Vegas. My wife & I felt the house shake. My wife has been through many earthquakes in CA and she said it sounded like a "popper" type of quake. I ran outside & looked around 360 degrees and did not see or hear anything. I looked to the direction of McCarran thinking a plane explosion but nothing there either. Anyone else see or hear anything. It was big and since I work out of my home, I've never heard or felt anything like this in LV.

First of all, please accept my apology for posting this so late. On October 1, my wife ("FRBI") and I closed on our house in Boca Raton and moved to Las Vegas, NV. The new owners wanted a short closing (26 days!) and therefore, we had to do everything in a very short period of time. We did a quick trip to Las Vegas for house hunting & job hunting, returned home to Boca, found a mover, fixed the roof (hey, it's Florida - all roofs leak!), packed up everything and headed west. Immediately after arriving in "Sin City", we...

DoD Statement on News Reports of al-Qaida and Iraq Connections News reports that the Defense Department recently confirmed new information with respect to contacts between al-Qaida and Iraq in a letter to the Senate Intelligence Committee are inaccurate. A letter was sent to the Senate Intelligence Committee on October 27, 2003 from Douglas J. Feith, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, in response to follow-up questions from his July 10 testimony. One of the questions posed by the committee asked the Department to provide the reports from the Intelligence Community to which he referred in his testimony before the Committee....

ABDURAHMAN ALAMOUDI is a prominent American Muslim leader, welcomed by presidents and founder of the Muslim chaplain program for the U.S. military. Now he's in jail, caught heading to Syria with $340,000 in cash, money prosecutors believe came from Libya. According to FBI counterterrorism chief Steve Pomerantz, “It's very hard to explain in any innocent way a suitcase full of money going from one terrorist-sponsoring nation to another terrorist-sponsoring nation.” AUDIOTAPE EXAMINED U.S. investigators speculated in court that the money was headed for Hamas or another terror group in Syria. A British document obtained by NBC News describes Alamoudi as...

The FRN "Freeps Ahoy" Cruise aboard the Carnival Cruise Triumph arrived back in Miami this morning. No SARS, No Norwalk, No Terrorism - just a hell of a lot of fun, food and sun! As the first cruiser back at his computer, I have the honor of starting this thread and posting the above pic, which was taken at the foot of the staircase descending into the "London Room", which was the dining room each evening for our Freeper Contingent. Front Row (left to right): Judy (Qwert's wife), Jean (friend of Bush_Democrat), Eileen (BobFromNJ's wife), MinuteGal, Bahbah, Hoosiermama Second...

I was in the middle of doing some stuff around the house this morning and I turned on the puter and the TV to get caught up. I kept switching between Fox & MSNBC to see the Iraqis setting fire to weeds along the river and the "search" for the downed aviators. MSNBC then switched to an update re: the Black Muslim soldier from the "not really fragging" (my term) incident of yesterday. I had already seen the footage of this guy lying on the ground many times and then being picked up by his hands tied behind his back....

Actors Guild Warns Against Blacklisting LOS ANGELES - The entertainment industry must not blacklist people who speak out against war with Iraq, the Screen Actors Guild said. "Some have recently suggested that well-known individuals who express `unacceptable' views should be punished by losing their right to work," the union said in a statement posted Monday on its Web site. "Even a hint of the blacklist must never again be tolerated in this nation," the statement added. The reference was to the Hollywood blacklist of the 1950s, when actors and writers suspected of harboring pro-Communist sentiments were barred from working. "During...

Muslim extremists seeking to foster one Islamic worldPresident Bush has come under some criticism recently for his outreach to the U.S. Muslim community because administration officials have apparently met with some groups that have ties -- direct or indirect -- with extremist groups here and in the Middle East.Still, and in spite of the criticism he continues to reach out.The president's position is understandable and even commendable. He doesn't want to do anything to make it appear that he's leading an anti-Muslim crusade because this would drive millions of Muslims into the extremist camp with Osama bin Laden and...

I arrived at about 12:30 for the 2-4pm Proud to be an American Rally held at the bandshell at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando. After meeting Florida Freeper "Old Glory" and a new Florida Freeper (hope he checks in as we lost him in the crowds!), I proceeded to plant our Florida Freeper "Battle Banner". As I was going to my van to get the banner + rope, I run into "Mustang" and his wife, Pat. At the same time, my cell rings and its "MatchettPI" calling from the parking garage asking where our RP (Rally Point) would be. I...
