As you read, think about this… How do you contain 100,000 plus people? People with a percentage of criminal eliment? We’ve heard the stories thus far. What kind of manpower is needed to oversee 100,000 plus people? How do you handle unrest with 100,000 people? How do you handle wandering groups of people with nowhere to go, some of which again, are of the criminal element? THE MEDIA It’s a no brainer that the MSM is out to get Bush. They display their despicable body language. They are verbal in disrespect to the POTUS and other high ranking Gov. officials...

Back in the mid 1990's we had our first child and as any new parent you start thinking about education/schools. Since private schools are out of reach we went public biting our lip. So as fate would have it, get a load of this one... Friday last, our 6 year old daughter came home from school and told us that she had watched a movie in art class today. " A man cut off his ear and 2 days later he killed himself" ...along with the body language of putting a gun to her head. Now, my daughter had never...

I drove to the other side of town(Detroit) today to collect a check from a customer for services rendered. Since I was in a bind, we all get into these situations from time to time, I stopped a mile down the road at the customers bank to cash the check which I just received. After standing in line patiently with a smile, the clerk told me when I went to cash the check that I needed 2, not 1 form of Indentification. No problem... I whipped out my social security card. The clerk went on to say that this is...

I just wanted to post a little something here that occured to me over the past few months. I would like to demonstrate how immigration can take a country and bring it down... France, Spain, and the like, have a tremendous anti-war, anti-US aura about them these days. Even though Spain is in the coalition...I think they are anyway... It is primarily because they allowed themselves to be taken over by foriegners. If France was not Muslim controlled, do you think they would be in here with us? Something to ponder if you're for open borders...

For the past twenty four hours, I was limited to fm radio for several hours. During this time, I switched over to NPR and was shocked at what I heard coming from a nationally broadcasted radio station, that our very own Government funds. Last night, approximately 8:30 PM EST, the anchor was interviewing a corresponded in the theater. The female voice asked the male voice several questions about the goings on with the 3rd and 1st(I believe) infantry divisions. One question was, "How many American troops are advancing?" The corresponded, embedded, told her! The next question, "Where are they going...

There has been plenty of commentary on the “Video Game” syndrome with today’s youth. Granted, without the proper guidance from the guardian, with games, and other areas of upbringing, one could easily get deranged to the point of Columbine. If however, there is a proper guidance path laid forth, some games could be an educational tool. If, you’re an adult player, there is definitely something to gain from some games…may I introduce Ghost Recon, Manufactured by UBI Soft. Over the years, we have imagined what a revolution would be like in today’s times. We have read the commentary of US...

Greetings, I have had a web site for some time now called sit-rep.com. Some may know of it, others may not. Today, I invite those of you from military backgrounds to consider my proposal. For a number of reasons, I am letting the light go out at sit-rep at the end of the month. I would like to leave it in the hands of military personnel active/retired. It is a large site with a considerable amount of archived material, as well as full operating forum similiar to this one here. Not all the bells and whistles or course. I AM...

Over the years, I have watched the relentless pursuit of cultural diversity forced upon society by the powers that be, and the heads of our society's ethnic groups. My question, is, why? Let's look at the product of today's culturally diverse community. Children’s Television Programming – The absence of the “Devil” Barney, Sesame Street, et al, where is the white boy? We have, a little black boy, a Spanish/Mexican boy, an Arabic boy. But where is the Blond haired, blue-eyed white boy? Answer? They’re in the cast, if they are handicapped in some way. Televisions programming today, attempts to jam...

It is quite irritating to click into a thread to find a possible encroachment on our liberties only to find an encroachment in another country. I thought the majority here have more or less said America first. So, why are we globalizing Free Republic? Are we now Free World? ...or hows about Free Globe? If nothing else comes from this little rant, that is if it does not get pulled by the moderation, can't we at least have it displayed, perhaps in parentheses, the origin of the thread. Frankly, I don't give a rat's rear end about social matters in ...

A question for you folks following this closer than I... Why are these Anthrax cases only showing up at the end of the line? Why are they not showing up in the post office close to the point of origin, and showing up in the post office that receives the mail from the city of origin post office? It has not made sense to me why these cases are showing up the way they are...it's almost as if the culprit is getting them stamped in jersey(or where ever) and then delivering them personally to the post office nearest the outbreaks. ...

A question was posed to me on my site for some wisdom in the following area...I admit to inadequate education in this area, so, if I may, I would like to pose this here... Is Marx's analysis of Capitalism still relevant today, in terms of the dynamic relationship between the "forces" and "relations" of production, crises of "over production", and the distribution of wealth and power nationally and internationally? Why? Why not?

I commend Jim Robinson for the job he has done here at Free Republic, and acknowledge to all now, you do not really know what is involved in Free Speech issues unless you are behind the button. I invite some over to a "Trial" of a poster accused of anti-Semitism for posting "questionable" material, that is on going at this moment. It is truly the argument IMHO for free speech and private forums. You do not have to participate, my motivation is ...
