  • Lost at G-7: Joe Biden wanders into the wrong cafeteria at the G-7 until Jill finally finds him and leads him away

From day one the possibility of impeachment kept the new president distracted for 2 years. Establishment republicans and conservatives alike never totally got on board his populist approach. In spite of these obstacles though, he ( a non politico) produced an impressive boatload of effort and positive change for the country.

We are organised as a republic. Constitutionally the feds can’t willy-nilly move into a state and take over rights constitutionally reserved to it. Thank goodness states provide individual rules and laws associated with voting. Of course, cheating occurs but Imagine for a moment handing over to the current all democrat federal government the keys to our state and local ballot boxes. Red and Blue states still exist like they have throughout our history. Trump had the wisdom to understand that the preservation of individual red and blue states is what gives America its diversity of opinion and protection from poisonous national group-think.

Cheer up! It’s possible next November 2022, republicans will be defending charges of ballot box tampering.

Elementary civics teaches that voters at the ballot box are responsible for election outcomes. Before ever again revealing yourself a total ignoramus you need to get some schooling.

In my 75 years of experience, discussions like this one, requiring an intuitive or working ability to use or discuss mathematical sizing, is problematic for most. Revealing the simple mathematical fact that the Sun’s volume equals the total volumes of 1 million 3 hundred thousand Earths is an impossible mental feat for most to accomplish. Comprehending the size and complexity of the DNA code is another example. Most are incapable of intuitively sizing these phenomena.

To escape using the 5th amendment, and with the key document always conveniently missing, HRC could and did defend herself with a "can't remember" response when forced to answer to her alleged criminal acts. Since Mueller's document source was prominently in view and available, he could not credibly use her defense thus the theatrical performance to elicit pity and sympathy for an old man and his mental deficiencies. But, does anyone really believe he will not complete the NYT's crossword puzzle tomorrow?

dsrtsage, you may want to, if you haven’t already, further bolster your case using Edward Lorentz’s The Chaos Theory and its associated Butterfly Effect. Edward Lorentz (1917-2008) combined his 2 disciplines mathematics and meteorology to conclude that “weather forecast/prediction is a classic non-periodic trajectory and effectively unstable from the point of view of practical prediction”. Interestingly enough, his research was contractually conducted to improve wx forecasting accuracy. Today’s corruption to this discipline is mind-boggling.

Hey, Reaganaut1, haven’t been to the grocery store recently have you? Gallon of milk, $2.45 vs. $4 : jumbo eggs $1.13 vs. $2.65. Like lobsters and etc. foodstuffs the Chinese were importing from us at top $, the american consumer is now once again buying at affordable prices. Once Trump’s policies break the Chinese mercantilist trading system prices will tend to equalize worldwide for consumer goods. And if you think the WTO doesn’t use tariffs in its “negotiated” trade regulations you are even more naive than the WSJ.

We can now make an educated guess as to why Kerry needed a few extra million $ from his home about the time Polier reportedly made the interview. We were encouraged to believe it was to invigorate the campaign. Hush $ now seems the more likely use.

I agree that the resulting power vacuum would naturally suck her into de facto party head. But, would that satisfy her super-human ambition? In charge of a seriously damaged political party doesn't get her to the Presidency. Notwithstanding her liberal past, a reformed Hillary could bring huge sex-related dividends to the Pubbies and Carl Rove understands this. Today, she's quite enamored with George Bush's Iraq coup. Tommorrow she might announce she's a suppy-sider. My guess is that currently she is quite busy researching Margaret Thatcher's life.

Hillary has already done the math and determined that after the Dean/Democrat implosion there will not be a viable national party for years. Until and well beyond Nov 04, Bush and the national Pubbies will receive only growing positive news from Iraq/Mideast. Saddam's historical trial coverage worldwide will alone, drown out anything the foolish candidate Dean will say. Baker's trip overseas is sealing the fate of our reborn allies. Bush, the consummate poker player, holds a pat hand permitting Baker to negotiate with the French and Germans just how much they are going to lose in the game. Brokaw, Rather, and Jennings have already dramatically modified their reportage. Come November 04 we should expect a Republican juggernaut. Republicans have controlled Washington purse strings nigh 10 years now. K street expects it to continue and so does Hillary. Jumping ship is her only chance to remain in the limelight. The only remaining question in my mind is how much is she worth to Carl Rove?

Morris is again out to lunch. He underestimates Hillary's unsurpassed and unrealized ego and ambition. She would never accept VEEP nor would any sane candidate accept her presence on the ticket. No, she wants the big prize and is prepared to pay any price, go anywhere, do anything to get it. In her recent CFA address she laid claim to the currently dormant Scoop Jackson wing of the party that, in many ways, is a good deal more conservative than W's brand of of compassionate conservativism. A deal could be in the making wherein she brings moderate Democrats to Carl Rove in return for a "later reward". If the electorate remains polarized in November 04 her votes would offset the disillusioned Republican conservatives who will not show up on election day. A party switch before the election would give her the headlines and gravitas that she craves, and it would give Carl Rove the accolades that deal makers can only dream about.
