  • The Democrats - Trying Out a More Soulful Tone

Saint James the Pious, Georgia's Gift to the Presidency, may have distinguished himself by not doing anything illegal during his tenure as C of C and didn't have any extra-marital affairs, but as a Georgian I do tire of Jimmah being held up as this Super Moral Wizard-Prez of the Past. The Bigot Media parades him as such because he didn't embarrass the party like Clintler did and because Jimmah was the closest to a genuinely moral Christian President that the Dems had in some years...
But that doesn't obscure the fact that Carter stood for Socialism-first and foremost- run by the Chosen Better People- and behaved toward Ronald Reagan in some extremely non-Christian ways during the 1980 campaign. For some reason, Carter's vengeful mean-spiritedness has been forgotten....but not by me.

Tom Daschle gone is a dream come true...
He's always been a creep, but this election cycle was just the last straw. His obstructionism, his discouraging the troops and slandering a seated president in a time of war...truly despicable.
In olden days, the kind of activity Little Tommy engaged in would've gotten him prison time...or a good rope swing for treason.
I'll just settle for having Mr. "Conservative Christians are the moral equivalent of the Taliban" gone. You're the moral equivalent of ZERO, now, Tommie Boy!

Gore's book didn't sell well a while back. Gore took that as an omen not to run. NOW he's gonna run? Doesn't make sense, but there's a lot that the Dems have done over the past few years that doesn't.

We've re-discovered this week that our Air Force's fighter jets have 20mm cannons...it's time for somebody besides New Jersians to discover this fact.
God bless our fighting men and women. I place their precious lives in His capable care, in Christ's name.

"Were giving them too much there. We should just confine them to their Blue counties, and then put electrified barbed wire fencing around them...."
Did you hear about the quote Rush had on his show about Dukakis' campaign manager, Bob Bechtal? He said something like, "We've already dealt with slavery, so that's not an issue with the South, so I can't see why they don't just go ahead and form their own country."
Hey, yeah pal, you'd really get far without Southern military bases.

Yeah, kinda like "put on a shotgun so the stupid hicks in West Virginia and Ohio won't believe you're a city liberal snob who's going to take away their guns"...
They keep thinking they can just pose here and posture there, and its all about fooling voters and symbolism and photo ops.
This must've been what Rush was talking about that day he said the Democrats have the "Clinton curse".
Hey, attention Dems: photo op's only worked for Clinton. Do you hear me? You can't just do that with anybody and expect to fool people.

I'm sure the Moral Moron ex-president from our state (Jimmy Cahtuh) will probably cry some crocodile tears over it. I sure won't. Good riddance, wish it could've come sooner.

  • Elite Media`s Favorable Coverage Not Enough for Kerry Victory

    "Death to the MSM"
I am really on a "personal crusade" to hold Old Media responsible this year.
We've all known for decades that Old Media has very obvious biases, bigotries, and prejudices and will go to any lengths they feel necessary (forged documents, anyone?) to achieve their aims of Elitist Socialist Democrat domination of American politics...or in their quests to get the public afraid and herdbound and accepting of Socialist legislation...this has been their tactic style for years..
But during the Bush first term and throughout this election, they have really brought out the fangs and dirty tricks in a way more vicious than I've ever seen them do in my lifetime....or, at least, since Watergate.
Rather, Jennings, Brokaw, Couric, Woodruff and other pompous MSM clowns live in a fishbowl America that is comprised of two to three big cities plus flyover country. To them, America is a country they are embarrassed about because it isn't like Europe and the rest of the world. Their resentments, bigotry, and hatefulness were so plain this year, yet if they had any common sense at all they would realize that their inner attitudes are being seen plainly by more and more people in this country.
In the days of Ed Murrow, a journalist was someone who was respected, at least by some people in this country. How many people do you know today who really respect any of the people I just listed? (and I'm not talking about "Isn't she cute?" America's "Sweetheart" (not) Katie C, either. I'm talking about respect with trust, not celebrity.)
Oh please, please, please let the MSM die. If it's not going to fix itself or change, I celebrate and find satisfaction in its every drop in audience share. I dearly hope they destroy themselves. Old Media has turned newscasting into a despicable, deceptive art more like Pravda than reality.

"People such as Carolyn Parrish are reduced to making stupid remarks because she lacks the knowledge, or for that matter the intelligence, to offer any useful analysis of the US election results"

She sounds like a Canadian version of our Rosie O'Donnell. What are we supposed to do- make her like us? Perhaps John Kerry could share some of the Secret Plan he had so that Canadians will like this country better...right?

  • GEORGIA Vote Analysis, by county

    11/03/2004 2:38:20 PM PST · 16 of 25
    Springfield45 to AngryJawa

I wasn't surprised to see that the counties garnering the highest vote tallies for Kerry were all in metropolitan or college-town areas...
Most of the counties in my area (Southwestern part of the state) were solid Bush...Bush also squeaked by in Jimmy Carter's home county of Sumter by only a few hundred votes (guess the Moral Moron/Citizen of the World probably isn't too happy about that). My county, Lee, really gave Kerry a whoopin', but heavy-minority Daugherty County just below me went for Kerry.
That just goes to show how every person's vote counts.
My relatives live east of here in Ben Hill county. Fitzgerald and BH Co. were safe Dem strongholds for so long and used to be a really snooty, materialistic, know-your-place, goosestep-with-Socialism area that I thought they'd beat a trance dance to the polls and vote for the Traitor, but they really surprised me this time and chose Bush.
I happened to notice quite a few Bush/Kerry yard signs in black neighborhoods over there. I was really impressed.
The old-fashioned politics of Georgia used to be that if daddy was a Democrat, if hubby was a Democrat, you were supposed to be one, too. That kind of attitude is thankfully dying off because maybe people all over this state, regardless of old traditions, are seeing the Democratic Party (2004 model) as the anti-American, anti-security, condescending, racist, paternalistic, hateful, lawyer-and-radical dominated party that it is.
I admire the courage of black Americans who have rejected the old "vote Democrat because Martin Luther King was one and they'll give you more stuff" thinking and used their wisdom and common sense to make the right choice this time.
Old ways are coming to a close here, and this needs to continue. Black people are NOT second-class citizens and they deserve a party that doesn't treat them like it.

"I think he should give Dashole Transportation or HHS. John Breaux is worthy of a post too."
With all due respect to your sentiments, no way. Little Tommy is the kind of integrity ogre that you want nowhere NEAR a position of authority, particularly in a Republican cabinet. This man did his level best to destroy our war and self-protection efforts in the days since 9-1-01. Perhaps some have forgotten that, but I haven't.
Do you really think a man so whacked out and bigoted that he once stated that "Conservative Christians are the moral equivalent of the Taliban" deserves a seat in President Bush's cabinet? No way. I wouldn't want Tom Daschle as a crossing guard, much less a cablinet member.
Oh yeah, he'd "really be the guy you could trust to work on your behalf", too.
    No way.

Enough of us have e-mailed the Blues Networks with howls of protest that they are leery about jumping the gun over a state like Florida. Calling Florida early for Prince Albert caused a lot of hard feelings four years ago.
Fair is fair, though. We don't want them calling a state early when it works against us. Let's let them take the time...hold your 'tater....
