I used to shoot competitive matches with rack grade M16A2 rifles when I was on my State National Guard Rifle Team.
Green tip ammo sucks. Every couple hundred rounds there’s a complete flyer. Sight picture good, break good, finish good, no hit on target.
I had a complete miss on a 10 ring target that cost me the Chief’s 50 badge at the Wilson match in Arkansas. I missed Chief’s 50 by 2 points and that shot broke as a called 10 by me. I’d never buy green tip.
My go to handload now is 75gr Hornady HPBT match with a Winchester case, Varget, and a CCI bench rest primer.
If we could only get all the Texans to move to California where the nice weather is, and get all the Californians move to Texas, all would be well in the USA.
The 4 times I “visited” (the quotation marks are because I was sent by the National Guard on training) I learned I love Texans, and I really love Texas BBQ.
The weather though...not so much. 40 degrees, 80 degrees and humid, tornado warnings, hail. In one day.

Biden doesn't attack & invade neighboring countries
You're kidding right? Biden is aiding the invasion of the USA right this moment. Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, VietNam. Viet Nam pisses me off. Ho Chi Minh came to the US begging for us to ask the French to piss off. The US told him to frag off and we lost 10's of thousands dead for nothing. Trump is the only president in what, 40 years that didn't start a new war.
At what point do the US people say enough with the freakin' wars?
That’s a shame. Maybe, they shouldn’t have retired all those white engineers telling them no, and doing DEI on the assembly floor. My Grandmother was a lead lady on the assembly floor with McD. They didn’t have quality control issues and planes that inherently wanted to crash back then.
We used Winchester commercial brass because we could stuff more Varget into it than LC.
I’m sure the loads were outside specs in the civilian matches. The shooters that were not military had to pay for their own ammo. Popped primers were common, including a kid that recently won Camp Perry, as a civilian. Those who know, know.
